Our room for 2 adults + 2 kids was spacious.

A good supermarket is 2 minutes walk away.
Arrived to a locked front door not realising this hotel is not staffed at times and requires fumbling for a code that had been emailed the previous day. Another guest's phone had died and couldn't get in, requiring us to help them - which is a difficult position we should be put in - performing security on behalf of the hotel.
Our room was baking hot as the West facing windows and shutters had been left open during the day before our evening arrival. To make the matter worse the rooms have no air conditioning which I would expect. Our room only had an old fan that was very noisy when set to oscillate. Consequently it was difficult to sleep with the room at 27C overnight.
