Room aircon was very good, windows very good, location very good, the shared bathroom was very clean, shower very good, lounge area looked lovely, door entry system simple, value for money very good.
We could not get the TV to work, double bed a little too narrow. My friend doesn't like hugs (I wish he did). Wish there were welcoming staff, but I suppose it's cheaper not to have a receptionist.

The location is amazing for a first time visit to Seville. Lots of excellent eateries on the doorstep, (e.g. Duo Tapas Bar, fabulous food and service) 20 mins walk into the shopping district and the Barqueta Bridge practically next door, beautifully lit at night, can be seen from the hostel rooftop. A great space with umbrellas to shade you from the intense heat and a plug socket for those of us who work online. Loved the roof! My room was spotless and the pressure good in the shower in my private bathroom. Shower gel provided was good too.
I didn't like the management of the hostel, although workmen that happened to be there were kind and very helpful. They lent me an iron and showed me how the aircon worked in my room. I spoke to Rosie in advance, over the phone, who was great in explaining how to get from the airport to the hostel and described how to enter the key code on arrival. But the whole building has a strange energy. There's a space on the ground floor with a kitchen, tables, chairs & books etc but the atmosphere is weird and I didn't want to spend time there. Grateful for the shared fridge though!

The location was great, lots of bars and restaurants, small market, walking distance to main shopping area.
The decor was artsy and colorful
Common area was nice although not enough tables for dining if more than 4 persons
Kitchen available for guests to use and store food
The heating was central and worked well
The beds were very uncomfortable and not enough pillows
Manager wouldn't give us any extra pillows. We asked for extra comforters to pad the mattress and he wouldn't give us those either
The light above the bathroom mirror didn't have a bulb and when I asked he said none of the rooms had a working light and that it was a hostel, not a hotel
No window
Noisy guests at times, especially late evening
