Super friendly, polite and helpful staff. Everything was clean and fresh when I arrived. Daily housekeeping was a nice touch. Housekeeping staff were friendly and diligent. The bed was one of the most comfy I’ve slept on at a hotel. There’s entertainment downstairs on a Friday and Saturday night if you’re into it. The room I was in (204) with the window facing the street was quiet even on those nights. Bar patronage on Friday and Saturday night was mainly made up of a young, lively yet respectful crowd.
The garlic prawn pizza was amazing and I highly rate it even if you aren’t staying the night! Just order at the bar :)
The location is right across from the light rail so it’s easy to get around if you’re relying on public transport. Woolworths Metro is just a short walk around the corner so are multiple solid cafe options.

Lovely old property - some character lost with the refurb, but beautiful courtyard.
Very noisy (but I know this is part and parcel of a pub hotel). All windows in room frosted even though no overlooking view from other windows/buildings.
