Room - Spacious, clean, and comfortable with quality furnishings and facilities.
Service - Very professional yet friendly and helpful.
Location - Easy walking distance to shopping malls, restaurants and a variety of other shops. Plenty of DiDi available to reach other parts of Xining, Train station , airport and attractions outside of town. Also a great place to spend several days acclimatising before catching the train to Lhasa.
Restaurants/Breakfast - Easily the best by far of any of the 16 cities we are visiting this trip.
Value for money - Rates are very reasonable for such a high class hotel.
The stench of cigarette smoke in public areas of the hotel such as lifts etc. is very off-putting. The hotel is making an effort but more needs to be done for the health and comfort of other patrons.

The Sebel is connected to the Sofitel and shares the same facilities, which are world class. The lobby, the dining rooms and restaurants, the tea shop and even a cigar lounge and billiard room are all ritzy and glamorous, in the best way. Overall, staying in the Sebel was an excellent and affordable way to experience the hotel at large. The breakfast buffet itself must be one of the best in China. It had everything.
The lobby and public areas have a faint smell of smoke, which is seemingly permitted in certain areas. For foreigners, this seems a little backward and behind the times. I guess smokers appreciate it, but for everyone else it's a nuisance and a health hazard, which spoils some of the elegance of the hotel.

A great property with spacious rooms and excellent facilities. The staff were excellent and really friendly and helpful. It’s right it the centre of the city and an easy walk to everywhere.
