Great location on the border of the old town. Pretty courtyard to sit in. Heater in the bathroom was nice. Great price.
Staff were barely ever at reception so I could not ask any questions. I tried messaging via booking.com but they didn't respond. No breakfast served and it's hard to find somewhere to eat in town because most people eat at their guesthouses, there aren't cafes open in the early morning. The bed was very very uncomfortable and hard, the hardest I experienced throughout all of China.

Beautiful hotel with typical architecture, and very pretty courtyard. Nice rooms, nice staff. Great location - into the Shaxi old town, close to every point of interest. Very good for the price.
They also helped us to book a minivan to Jianchuan train station.
