Really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is charming and the owners were really lovely! There are two dogs and some chickens that are very friendly but also don't intrude (the dogs don't come into the gates cottage garden). Just for anyone reading previous reviews, the bath plugs are in the baths in the overflow drainage port and the owners home is across a courtyard but really wasn't a concern for us. The beds are super comfy, the log fireplace was well stocked and there is underfloor heating throughout. We spent Christmas here and had a wonderful time. The location is accessed via lanes but they aren't busy so most wouldn't have an issue going to and from. There was a minor issue with internet connectivity on one morning, but the owners went out of there way to fix and had solved by the afternoon (which is no small feat directly before Christmas and was much appreciated!) Really love the fact they the cottage is carbon neutral and food wastes are covered by the dogs and chickens. Stayed with husband and daughter who also loved it here!
The only possible downside would be I couldn't see a microwave (but I also didn't ask-and we got by without just fine).
