About this cottage rental
Nestled in Indian Rocks Beach, this lovely cottage for $272 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. WELCOME TO OUR SLICE OF PARADISE in Unit 2! We highly recommend CFAR (Cancel For Any Reason) Insurance. COME AND STAY where you will feel surrounded by nature, as if you were staying in a tree house by the beach. Our property is an elevated beach cottage, (connecting duplex), front and rear, which can be booked individually or jointly., as a Whole House. The "internal" connection is by a"double" soud proof doorway, just like in hotels like Embassy Suites. As a Whole House it's a great place for a large family's getaway or reunion. The beach is just a short walk (3 minutes max) across the street, with beach access at either corner. Unit II has been completely remodeled and renewed iinto an open concept, bright, warm and elegant comfortable space with bright interior and the ambiance of a modern house with a nautical design. If privacy and peace is what you need, you've come to the right place! If you wish to work on your sun tan while reading a good book, you may find our garden oasis the perfect place. The beach is just a short walk (3 minutes max) across the street, with beach access at either corner. Everything in this home is new, from trendy tile flooring imitating wood to brand new bedding. . Our Patio area is equipped with oscillating fans (a must have in the summer); BBQ grill, with seating for up to 14 people. There's also a swing and a hammock both perfect for reading and relaxation.and lights for evening conversations or a get together. Please note that this outdoor recreation area is shared by both units. It is a large space with everything for two families to share, including provided beach gear. I recently had the pleasure of staying here with my pregnant wife and dog. We wanted a place to relax and it was an absolute delight. The first thing that struck me upon arrival was the place's cleanliness. It was spotless and well-maintained, immediately setting a positive tone for my stay.
The location was perfect for a serene and relaxing getaway. The quiet surroundings provided a much-needed respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I found myself unwinding effortlessly, with the tranquil sounds of the nearby beach adding to the peaceful atmosphere.
Overall, my experience was enjoyable, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, quiet, and relaxing beachside retreat.

The property was even better in person than the pictures showed. Mia thought of everything so if you do not want to go out to eat, you can just go to the store and buy food and come back and cookout and all the utensils and plates were available. The beds were extremely comfortable and the couch is absolutely amazing! At night we Stayed at the property and cooked out and enjoyed the fire pit. during the day we just crossed the street to the beautiful beach. Will definitely be visiting Mia's place in the future!

responsive when contacted by text or phone. We had several minor questions requiring communication, and Mia was quick to address these. She was friendly and engaging. We also were introduced to a long term resident next door who was very friendly.

As noted, the property is one unit of a duplex. It’s all been updated in the recent past, so all furnishing, appliances etc. are fresh and up to date. All the amenities were as described.
Property limitations
If mobility challenged, note that the property is on the second floor and accessible only by stairs. This was mentioned in the description but we missed it. Fortunately for us this wasn’t a deal killer.
Area comments
Many nice casual restaurants in the neighborhood. A quick drive to the mainland gives access to a wide variety of retail stores and more restaurants. We were told that at times the traffic can be heavy but we didn’t experience this (January is perhaps a bit early!)

The location is the best! Right across the street from the beach, a block from a beautiful nature preserve, and in the heart of IRB restaurants and culture. The owner is amazing and makes sure you have everything you could possibly need or want!

Mia was very helpful. This was a last min get away for us. We also had our fur baby. Lots of great places to walk your dog. Mia really made us feel welcomed. Everything you need is there. Location is awesome. Close to shops and lots of local spots you can walk to. Couldnt have asked for a better vacation spot and a great host.

Mia was a wonderful host! The apartment was neat and clean and well appointed. It was awesome to have that huge, beautiful beach just steps away. Great little restaurants in both directions within walking distance. Everything you could ask for in a beach vacation. We had a super time! Would stay here again without question.

Much needed getaway
My boyfriend and I stayed here for a short vacation to unwind and celebrate my college graduation. The check in process was smooth. Mia made everything super easy for us. The property was clean and had everything we needed. I loved the sitting area outside the door with it being screened in. If we weren’t on the beach that’s where we were. We had such a great time!

We so enjoyed out stay - the location is super convenient to the beach and Eating - all very walkable. The property is in excellent shape - Mia is a great host and clearly takes pride in providing a wonderful experience. Highly recommend - pictures don’t do the space justice!

This property was very clean and well decorated. The furniture was nice and the beach toys provided were plentiful. We enjoyed the screened in porch upstairs and the firepit area downstairs. It is an ideal property for a larger group that would rent both units. The owner is very responsive and conveys a real desire for you to have everything needed to enjoy your stay.

We spent 10 days in Indian Rocks Beach and loved every minute of it. The property was so nice that we ended up canceling some of our plans to do overnight outings to other places because we were so happy where we were. Mia (the property manager) was extremely helpful and responsive to any questions we had.We are hoping to come back next year!!!

A week at the beach
Very nice, well equipped home. So convenient to everything IRB has to offer especially the beach. The owners even provided everything you need for a great day on the beach. Highly recommend.

Corona Era
Unfortunately, we arrived just as the COVID-19 virus hit. So we were unable to explore the area and enjoy all that it appears to offer.
That said, the weather was perfect and we spent our time alternating between the screened in porch, the sunny backyard, and the under house patio area (great breezes). Since we couldn't eat out, we made great usage of the grills and kitchen.
Would like to give this another shot - without the virus!

Family Affair
El Palmar was wonderful. We were looking for a quiet getaway since we were taking our daughter and 8 month old granddaughter on vacation and El Palmar was perfect. It was very clean and well equipped. We really enjoyed the screened in porch and the quiet backyard as well. It was a perfect location. A short walk to the beautiful beach, restaurants and ice cream shops!! There is a nature preserve with a lovely boardwalk only a block away with a dog park at one end and a children’s playground at then other. We had a fabulous time. Thank you Mia for sharing your little piece of paradise.
