Location was excellent. Close to all amenities.
We had a problem with door key on arrival. This was quickly rectified by the property's local agent Vasco. Vasco was also very helpful with local information about the town.

The location was fantastic, with great restaurants and bars nearby, and a stones throw away from the beach.
We were told check in was at 15:00hrs, we arrived early and messaged to ask if we could leave our luggage anywhere and were told the restaurant below would take it, as they are the same owners. We arrived to find the restaurant closed. Eventually the keys arrived at 15:15 due to “traffic”. Went into the apartment to find the tap in the kitchen sink broken, the shower head broken and the safe broken. Towels and bed sheets were not going to changed or washed during the course of our stay, instead we were to find a laundrette. Was then sent a message on departure by somebody that read we should be ashamed of the way we left the apartment with pictures of a piece of tissue on the floor and a slight stain on one of the bedsheets. All in all was not worth either the money or the location.

THE GOOD
-Perfect location nearby everything
-Surprisingly quiet despite proximity to bars and restaurants
-Nice music being played by buskers on the street below
-Clean and modern apartment
-Very good air-conditioning in each room
-Spacious bedrooms; plenty of shelving for clothes and belongings
-Window doors could be opened fully or blacked out with shutters; they also provided a nice view
-Very large bathroom
-Nice large wet proof shower
-Great Smart TV with multiple subscriptions available (Netflix, Amazon Prime etc.) as well as the ability to cast your phone
-Two sets of keys were helpful for groups of friends
-Our airport transfer (V***o) was very nice and helpful and provided us with great suggestions for restaurants nearby
THE BAD
-WiFi would not allow us to connect
-Beds were a bit too hard
-Fridge was a bit too small for multiple people
-Water faucet in the kitchen was broken but usable
-While there were bins in the apartment, there were no bins available upon leaving the building to dispose of our rubbish; we had to bring our rubbish bags to the bins on the main street before we left (not a far walk but it would have been nice to be able to leave our rubbish in a bin downstairs instead of carrying them across the square)
-Airport Transfer price could be slightly cheaper to match competitors like Bolt, Uber etc.

They only send me an e-mail as auto reply. too long instruction and I could not understand who is the correct person to contact to get a key.
There was a noise all the time for 24hours, I could not sleep becouse of this noise, The photos and real rooms are slightly different, I could only see the roof, not ocean at all, The smells in the room also not so comfortable, The rooms are facing to the back side of the restaurants so not a nice view at all. I always did not want to come back to the room so tried to stay outside as long as I could.

The apartment was in a great location for exploring the surrounding area and made a good base for the few days we stayed there, close to the train station and very central, right by the beach. The apartment was well laid out and felt secure, light and airy, outdoor space was a bonus. Host was friendly and helpful on arrival. Would recommend for a short stay.
The parking was expensive at €40 a day and added considerably to the cost of our stay, it would have been good if we'd been made aware of this at the time of booking. There were a few minor details that would have made our stay more comfortable such as extra towels, tea towels and toilet roll. The bed was hard and a mattress topper could make it more comfortable also the toilet seat was loose and needed fixing.

Really great location and very nice style of the property. Looks quite new, simplistic and welcoming. Warm water was always good. We haven't tried al cooking equipment, but it was very complete!
The faucet in the kitchen was quite loose. Looks like an easy fix to re-attach this one a bit better. When it is loose like this, it is easy to get worse over time on subsequent visitors...

Accommodation good and location excellent
Two flights of stairs to reach apartment. Fine for us however it would be a struggle for someone with mobility issues.

The location.
Very disappointed to find several areas at the Duquesa apartment that are in need of urgent attention, certainly before any future guests arrive to stay. most of these faults can and should be rectified immediately.
1. There is a smell when immediately entering the apartment and it is from the drain in the shower area.
2. There is black mould on the shower floor and at the bottom of the walls.
3. Because of the possibility of a partially blocked drain in the shower, the shower can only be used on low water flow as otherwise water collects on the shower floor and then creates a flood outside the shower door.
4. The lever on the tap on the wash basin in the bathroom hits the wall when it is opened.
5. The toilet seat is very loose and swivels when used.
6. Only two of the three bulbs in the bathroom light fitting were working.
7. The tap in the kitchen has partially broken away from the worktop and is very loose. You need to hold it whilst operating the tap and it becomes very hot when hot water is drawn.
8. The joining strip on the right hand side of the kitchen worktop stands up and bacteria easily collects under it.
9. There are cooking smells coming into the apartment from the kitchens down below. There are also smells coming from the area below where staff sit in the open toilets smoking.
10. There is constant noise from the extraction units on the wall at the rear of the apartment.
11. In the main bedroom there’s a large water storage tank that is very noisy when the next door apartment is drawing water from it. We were woken up several times because of this and had to wear ear plugs to help stay asleep. It appears that the tank is only for the next door apartment as when we drew hot water there was no noise coming from the tank.
12. The main bedroom door doesn’t stay closed.
13. When removing the duvet cover in the small bedroom the duvet was seen to have quite a number of dirty stains on it.

Great location, close to the beach and the town yet quiet. Stayed with my husband and 1 year old. Host was great and cot was set up for us when we arrived. Apartment was great for us. Lovely fish restaurant downstairs.

Wifi not good.. main door to building difficult to open and french door to balcony not very secure. we came home to find door had been pushed open from outside and front door to apt also been opened but luckily nothing was missing.

You pay for location. The place is 5 min from a lovely small beach and this was great. The town is also amazing and had great places to eat/drink etc. But the apartment is mostly looks. It’s nicely decorated and has a central location.
Yet we felt it was not worth paying for all the things that did not work:
- The wall plugs did not work in both bedrooms next to the beds. The other ones did.
- The safe did not work.
- Shower kept flooding. The first day the whole bathroom floor was wet after showering. After letting them know they told us to just hold the shower head on the drain to clear up the drain. This did not fix the problem. The next days it was still flooding the bathroom and we had to lay towels on the floor.
- Glasses of wine in the closet still had people’s stains on them.
- Stains (brown) on the bedding.
- Opening the windows brought in a bad fish smell. Therefore they had to stay closed. We never sat outside.
- We found the book with checkout rules, (which were never mentioned during check-in), with explained we had to clean up our own bedding + towels + trash.
Considering all this, we conclude that the apartment is too expensive for what is being offered.

Lovely clean well equipped apartment in a fantastic location. Right in the centre of Cascais above some lovely restaurants. No noise from the street below.
Really disliked the hob! if it’s not gas I struggle.

The apartment was in a great location for everything on the doorstep but was not too noisy.
The outside space was not inviting due to a huge bank of industrial fans. Although the apartment as a whole was very nicely presented and well furnished the floor wasn’t clean at all.

The location is fantastic. Centrally located. Close to the train station and steps from the ocean (although we had no view of the ocean). The apartments seem to have been recently remodeled.
Toilet paper is provided for 1 day only.

Location was perfect
Check in and check out process were a bit messy. We had to call 30 minutes before to meet the host to get the keys, however the line was engaged for a while so we had to wait. The person who met us wasn't that happy to see us and spent time telling us how much noise we shouldn't make and that she lives downstairs which we found a bit strange. Check out process wasn't explained, however I came across a book which had a list of things we had to do which was fine, however not sure what the implications would have been had we not found it and completed the check out tasks. I would have expected to be told the process, or at least told there was a book with details in the apartment. The place wasn't very clean and a lot smaller than it looked on photos. We spent a couple of weeks travelling around Portugal and stayed in a few places while we were there and I would say this was probably our least favourite.

The apartment is nice and spacious but a bit musty and the view from the patio is clearly the back side of a restaurant.
