The accommodation was clean, tidy in a quiet neighbourhood.

The owners Marsie and Tim. My card was declined, unsure why it was working for me fine. I transferred money as thought I might have had a DD I forgot about and didn’t have enough cash. Declined again. I offered to Marsie to pop over as they live only a few steps away and figure it out. I was told no and that Tim will come over after work to sort issue out. It made me feel very uncomfortable, it sounded like she believed I didn’t wanted to pay and she needed to send her man. I didn’t wanted no man coming to my door at night. I understand he is the owner but he is a stranger to me. I offered her to pay with a different method such as PayPal. Marsie then given me account details and I transferred the full fee instantly. All sorted, no man needed. I took a screenshot of the transaction that included account data, amount and receipt number. Sent it to Marsie as evidence. I thought it was all good. However, In 24 hrs and 30 minutes I’ve received an other msg from Marsie requesting me to ring my bank and find out what the issue is as she still hasn’t received payment. At this stage I strongly believed that the owners aren’t trusting me at all and believe that I’m some kind of scam. I got very upset. I’ve done what I needed to do, I provided evidence and now asked to ring a bank to find out what the holdup is when there is no hold up. It’s bank transfer it needs a day or 2. I explained that some banks take longer than others. The next day we couldn’t go to Falls due to weather conditions and although we still had a day to enjoy I just couldn’t. I felt so uncomfortable being there knowing I was not trusted I had to leave. Packed up my kids and we left. I’m not a criminal my card just declined it doesn’t make me a scammer but I was treated like one. Very bitter experience we will not be returning.
