Lovely location. Easy to find with the instructions (but never would have without😁).
Had everything we needed for a few nights stay.
Very happy.
Nothing. Only smallest thing was the fridge had tripped so needed to ping the fuse box but easy, done, all working fine.

Great location high above Rothbury. Very peaceful and relaxing. Very large and comfortable bed. Hosts very helpful and friendly and kept in contact to see all was well. Good shower with plenty of hot water. Proximity to places to visit and the coast. We had a wonderful stay.

Lovely little annex with everything you need to hand. Very comfortable bed, clean and tidy. Hot water, good shower and a bath to relax in after a busy day. When the sun is out, was good to sit on the terrace and read. It's a very quiet spot. I enjoyed listening to the wind and the chickens. It's handily placed to be right on the footpath to explore the extensive hills around. It's easy to walk into the little town of Rothbury with a footpath a few metres from the house so you don't have to drive down. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and you are ideally placed to visit all the beaches, towns and castles. I've had a fantastic week exoloring the area and it was great to head back and relax after a full day of site seeing.
Ben and Adele are very friendly and popped over to say hello a couple of times.

Nice and reasonably well-equipped kitchen, and plenty of space for two people in the cottage. Quiet location with good access to interesting places in Northumbria. Easy parking.
The cottage was let down by poor quality bedlinen (shiny non-cotton duvet which really wasn't nice to sleep under) and no bedside tables (there wasn't much space but still essential, and even a stool is fine). Also felt the bedroom curtains were poor quality and ill-fitting and that all the cleaning stuff should not live in the wardrobe - a cupboard in the living room would be ideal. So the bedroom didn't feel great or comfortable, and while I love books, it felt like the cottage had become the storage space for way too many cast-offs rather than curating what guests might like. Lots of walkers and nature lovers go there, I imagine, so some guides to birds and animal identification plus a few novels would be great.
