This apartment was a great choice for our stay, and we would happily stay here again.
The apartment is incredibly spacious, much larger than we expected. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which made a huge difference during the hot weather. The location is fantastic—right in the heart of Plaka, making it easy to explore Athens on foot.
Our hosts were very generous and left us complimentary food and drinks, which was a lovely and much-appreciated touch.
The additional bathroom and shower are quite small and feel a bit cramped, but this certainly wouldn’t stop us from booking the apartment again.
Although check-in is done by meeting someone rather than using a self check-in code, everything went very smoothly. We were a little concerned beforehand, but they were waiting for us on arrival, and the whole process was easy and hassle-free.
One thing that caught us by surprise was the sleeping arrangement. We were a family of four, but we specifically wanted three bedrooms so that each child could have their own room. Shortly before check-in, we were informed that the standard setup for four guests uses only two bedrooms, and that preparing the third bedroom would cost an additional €100. We chose to pay the extra fee, but it was frustrating to discover this only after booking. It would be much better if this were either made clearer in advance or simply included in the price rather than discussed just before arrival.
On our last evening, we suddenly had no hot water. I contacted our host the following day, but unfortunately never received a response. That was disappointing and felt a bit strange. Fortunately, it was extremely hot in Athens, so it wasn’t a major inconvenience. In colder weather, however, this could have been a much more serious problem.
Another minor point is that the TVs in the bedrooms are quite basic and not smart TVs, so there isn’t much you can watch on them. This wasn’t important to us, but it’s worth mentioning.

AERIDES offers a fantastic accommodation right in the heart of Plaka, probably the most central location you can find in Athens. Everything is within walking distance: historical sites, museums, restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets, shops and lovely terraces.
We stayed for a week here as a family of 5 and absolutely loved the house, terrace and balconies. The property is spacious, spotless, very comfortable and perfectly equipped for a family stay. The beds were excellent, there were more than enough towels and amenities, and the overall atmosphere felt both luxurious and welcoming. And of course, the 24/7 Acropolis view is simply stunning and impossible to ignore.
The welcome upon arrival was warm and personal, with clear information and very useful local tips. A full breakfast for our first morning was already waiting for us in the kitchen, which was such a thoughtful and convenient surprise.
Communication with Xenia before and during our stay was always fast, easy and pleasant. Her local knowledge was genuinely helpful and added a lot to our experience.
If you are looking for a spacious, comfortable and high quality stay right in the middle of Athens, AERIDES is an excellent choice. We had a perfect stay and are sincerely grateful to Mr. Katsoulis, Xenia and the whole team for making our stay such a bliss! We created beautiful memories for life.
We highly recommend to book an AERIDES property in Plaka, the historical heart of Athens!

Fantastisk beliggenhed.
Dejligt stille i lejligheden selvom den også ligger dejligt tæt på alt og lige ved siden af et torv med restauranter.
Super hyggelig gårdhave og dejlig stor terrasse
Ed bord og udsigt til Acropolis.
Venlige og hjælpsomme personaler, som svarede hurtigt på vores få forespørgsler. Vi fik arrangeret transfer både fra og til lufthavnen, og kørte med meget venlige og hjælpsomme chauffører.
Eneste mindre bemærkning: det var svært at tage bad, uden at der kom vand ud over hele gulvet. Særligt på det lille badeværelse.

Pros; Charming place with a very old world feel. The location is great. The size of the apartment is also great and the host left some nourishments and provisions to do laundry. The decor and layout of the apartment is also very nice. The beds are comfortable and the amenities are useful. We picked this place for the size and location of the unit. Air conditioning worked fine.
Cons: When we first arrived we were asked to pay an extra $55 euro per night in cash for the use of the second bedroom that we needed as we were two plutonic friends traveling. We booked this place months in advance. Nobody inquired about the number of bedrooms needed and it wouldn’t make sense for a pair of people to book a 3 bedroom unit unless the pair needed at least more than one of those bedrooms. Apparently these are new hosts to this property and they charge extra for each bedroom although it was listed as renting the entire apartment. This was not made clear before arrival and was very unsettling to be asked that while abroad in a foreign country. One would think that as a professional host you would recognize the listing was misleading and just correct it for the next guests instead of demanding this extra fee from your current guests. We had to get Booking.com involved to get it resolved. I was told by the hosts that they are updating their listing. The showers need curtains and hosts are very restrictive with towels which was surprising. The floors get very wet and slippery after a shower. The TVs in the bedrooms are very outdated and do not connect well to the internet or cast.
