We love the location, the spaciousness and cleanliness of the apartment. We also like the 2 bathrooms and having one with a bath, especially when my daughter comes with us. The parking space has made this our favourite York location and we have stayed here 3 times.
I think the mattress is showing signs of wear. There was some "rolling together". Also the duvet cover seems too big for the actual duvet, which can result in you losing the duvet and being covered only with the cover. However, we have met this in other locations.
I find it slightly strange that you never see anyone to do with the booking, but I have got used to it now!

Location was amazing. Straight out the door onto a great street of shops and restaurants. Altho we were so close to everything, it was really quiet inside which was good.
Free parking was also a great bonus.
Thete were a few issues mentioned below but we would definitely book again
Would have been nice to get a welcome basket or at least some milk to make a drink. The toilet in the ensuite was stained and looked dirty. We rang City Lets and a cleaner came within 30 mins. She told us that they had tried everything to try and clean it but the stain was permanent. She did try to clean it again to no avail.
The heating wasnt working and an engineer came out but couldnt fix it. Not a problem for us as it was a mild week but needs sorting.
We were told that towels would be changed and floors mopped mid week but this did not happen.
In the room with single beds one of the bedside lights could not be used as there wasnt a socket close enough.

The location was ideal
It was freezing when we arrived, been driving for 4 hours, took a couple of hours to even warm up. Couldn't have showers as no hot water, this was a big issue as on timed and only seemed to get hot water for an hour in the morning. Tried pressing boost button as instructed but water still cold. Very annoying as wanted showers before we went out for our posh dinners we had booked Shower head held in place with a black bin liner!!! Carpets filthy. No mattress protectors, stains on mattresses. V few cooking utensils etc in kitchen. Could do with a good clean and sort out This is the second time we've had this with booking. com that's why we rarely use you now
