About this cottage rental
Located in Sierra Nevada, this lovely cottage for $260 per night is a great option for your next vacation. The perfect Northern California location for a romantic weekend or relaxing escape for family or friends. Lovely cottage in a picturesque country setting located in a convenient location at the base of the Sierra foothills only 2 miles from the town of Lincoln, Situated 7 miles from Interstate 80 between Lake Tahoe and San Francisco. There are many equestrian and biking trails nearby. Visitors wanting to soak up Gold Rush history will enjoy a visit to nearby Auburn approximately 20 minutes by car. In addition, you may like to stroll around the property viewing the many Maidu Indian grinding rocks, pestles and Native American fertility rock. Two comfortable bedrooms, two bathrooms and a sleeping loft will accommodate 8 people max . The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you’ll need to prepare your meals. Towels and linens are provided. There is a sun-room with a cozy outdoor area equipped with a propane barbecue. A favorite activity of visitors is relaxing on the grassy private beach near the river and enjoying the built in fire pit (wood is provided for an additional charge). ***We have satellite internet. It is slower than most are used to, so we like to make sure guests are aware! The specifics: 1 bedroom with one king bed 1 bedroom with one queen size bed Sun room:with 2 twin beds Loft: full size futon and 2 twin beds Two tv’s One with Direct TV and one with VCR and DVD Two night minimum Dogs for additional fee $10 per dat per each dog, no violent breeds, 2 dogs max. NO PARTIES or EVENTS! 8 guest at anytime MAX no more then 4 cars allowed

The unit is cozy and very functional. The woodstove was a nice touch during December. Our group of 8 was able to fit (snuggly) without a problem. Morgan and Jared were easy to communicate with and very responsive. Check in was a breeze and so was check out. Would recommend and stay again.

We took our three adult daughters to a party to celebrate my Moms life (she passed June 20th). We picked this as it was close to Rocklin, where my sister lives and the celebration would be held.
In short, this was just the perfect house; felt like we were getting away from it all, deep in a forest. We watched movies one night, and spent two around a fire out front. Plenty of space, quiet, and out in nature, but 15 minutes away from a grocery store and tons of great food places in Lincoln. Went to wine and brew country not 15ninutes away as well.

I used this location for my bridesmaids to stay with me and have a place to get ready for my wedding, and then my husband and I stayed the following night. The house is well appointed, plenty of space, and the grounds are BEAUTIFUL! I just wish we weren't so busy for the event so that we could have enjoyed the property more. Look for us on an anniversary trip! :)

From second one to second done, this was the perfect trip in the most perfect place. Morgan went above and beyond to help my Dad surprise us with a gift already in the house waiting for us! She was communicative, and had great response time! The house was perfect, VERY comfortable, and absolutely beautiful! We decided to make a yearly adventure here! Thank you for everything!

Loved everything about the cottage ~ so relaxing. The area is remote & beautiful yet close to services. Morgan was wonderful & responsive ~ makes the BEST banana nut bread ever! Highly recommend Rum Thai Bistro ~ great food. We hope to return soon! Definitely recommend.

Such a lovely escape! We really appreciated how it felt like a little oasis without really being all that far from Lincoln. The proximity made it easy to explore parks with the toddler in the mornings and then spend the rest of the day enjoying the pool and playing in the creek. The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Morgan was extremely communicative and was sweet enough to leave us with a loaf of delicious banana bread. Had something for everyone in our family group of various ages. Would stay here again.

It’s hard to capture the beauty and size of this property with pictures. The house had more than all the amenities we needed, but it’s the yard, stream, pool and fire pits (plural) that make this place magical. I *almost* wanted to keep this rental to ourselves by not publicizing this hidden gem, but the owners were so considerate and thoughtful that I actually want them to rent it out as much as possible! Morgan and family had excellent communication and were very patient and accommodating. They even provided bug spray for the mosquitoes. Their care for the large property, and those little details, is what made our trip so enjoyable. All 6 of us (3 adults, 3 kids (11-14 YO), and 2 dogs) slept comfortably in the house, with room to spare. We cooked huge dinners, played by the river, climbed on rocks, and sat by the pool…but mostly we talked about how much we wanted to come back.

We had a great visit. The house a is perfect layout for 2 families. We had my in-laws in the downstairs rooms, and my husband, baby and I took the upstairs. The property is gorgeous. We loved walking around down by the water. The location is ideal for running in to Lincoln easily for food/activities but still feeling like you’re far out into nature when you’re at the house. The fresh banana bread was a wonderful touch from the hosts. We would love to stay again. Also - a local restaurant recommendation - we ordered take out from Rum Thai Bistro. So good!

Such a fantastic retreat at an amazing property. From the babbling creek, lush gardens, cute styling of the bungalow (with a pellet stove and home made banana bread to boot), I would stay again in a heartbeat! WE LOVED our time here.

This is a fantastic property, stocked with everything you would need and very clean. Communication with Morgan was super easy and she responded quickly and with everything you needed to know. You really feel like you are far away in the oaks next to the stream but within 15 minutes you have stores and restaurants galore. Wonderful stay ...... we would definitely stay here again.

This property is so beautiful and such an amazing place to stay at!! Morgan was always available for any questions and made us some incredible banana bread for a welcome treat! We were there for a womens yoga/wellness retreat and loved being able to do yoga by the pool and the river! The house was so clean and the kitchen really was fully stocked, perfect for entertaining!! We all can’t wait to go back again!!

My friend and I had an amazing time at this property. It's absolutely beautiful and it's very quiet. The river is really beautiful to fish in or just to sit by and listen. We will be bringing water shoes next time so we can walk in it. It's really close to the cute town of Lincoln. Everything we needed was provided. The pool was amazing, so was the hot tub. Morgan and Jared have thought of everything at this property. They even have a large Bluetooth speaker so you can play your music when you're at the pool and rafts! The twinkle lights around the property and at the pool give it a very quaint feel. The outside shower at the pool is amazing and the pool house was nice because we could use the restroom in there. The barn kittens were an added bonus. They are very sweet and were fun to play with. I had the upstairs bedroom and I loved it because it had its own AC unit. I am always hot. We are making this our new semi annual trip. We have already rebooked. This property is an A+. We felt very welcome, safe, and secure.

A fantastic "secret spot" that you won't want to leave. We stayed during a heat wave and the river was a glorious godsend for us and our dog. The very private cottage is fabulous and very well sorted for any sort of stay - also has two bedrooms on the ground floor (2 more and a bathroom upstairs). The pool was also amazing and refreshing. And the grass, did I mention the grass? It's out of a movie, our dog was in dog heaven - Jared and Morgan spend a huge amount of time maintaining the grounds (and everything else) in impeccable shape. What an epic and idyllic place with an amazing history and yet 5 minutes from everything. Finally, the hosts are extremely warm and welcoming. We will definetly be back.
