The staff was exceptionally friendly, among the friendliest I had ever met. The location, too, was ideal — right across from the MRT and convenient to many of the places a tourist would usually want to visit.
The hotel could really use a complete makeover — or, at the very least, my room needed a fresh coat of paint. Of course, I understand that a renovated hotel would probably come with a higher price.

I had a beautiful room with good views across the river and a smashing bathroom and with a fridge!!

Very convenient location next to the Tamsui station. It was very affordable. You check-in yourself at the automated kiosk, but they have a staff available if you need it. The facilities were generally clean. They also have a washer and drier available (insert coins).
The WiFi in my room vanished for a while and came back online.
