About this cabin rental
Song of the south is an adorable, rustic oasis on Turkey Creek (not a fishing creek). With end of the road PRIVACY, heavely wooded and a firepit area right by the water. Song of the South is a Sliding Rock Cabin that offers a screened porch, patio and deck with a large hot tub, Gas Grill, creekside firepit and FENCED yard off of the screened porch. You may want to laze away the day in the hammock, roast s'mores in the creekside firepit, maybe hike the Ellijay and Blue Ridge's mountainous trails, then in the evening soak in the large hot tub, or cuddle up next to the fireplace and watch an old movie on your large screen SmartTV, maybe sleep in late on the King Size bed in the loft.
Main floor has one queen-size bed, a bath with shower and tub combination. Upstairs, the open loft has a king-size bed and Juliette balcony. The kitchen offers solid surface counter tops and new stainless-steel appliances. Living room furniture is leather and therefore No cats please. PLEASE NOTE CANCELLATION POLICY BELOW.

Cancellations, rescheduling, or changes must be submitted in writing and confirmed received by Sliding Rock Cabins® more than thirty-one (31) days prior to the original check-in date in order to receive refund, less a Sixty Five Dollar ($65) cancellation fee. Said changes regardless of reason made within thirty-one (31) days of your original check-in date will result in a forfeiture of all moneys paid. All moneys paid are non-transferable to another rescheduled date. Refunds will be given if Agent can re-book said dates with another guest limited to the extent of rebooking. Agents are not responsible for Guests inability to arrive or if Guests chooses to depart early for any reason, or if members of Guests party do not show up. No refunds, rebates, or compensation will be offered. WE STRONGLY SUGGEST PURCHASING VACATION RENTAL INSURANCE with your travel insurance of choice. We have been booking through Sliding Rock for years now and have always had a good experience. This was our first time at Song of the South and we loved the little creek and the remote location. The fenced area for the dogs isn't as large as some of the other cabins, so if you need a huge fenced area try a different cabin, but the fire pit by the creek is great! The power went out Saturday and I had to call the after hours number for the first time and they answered and kept me updated. We will be definitely continue to book with Sliding Rock Cabins!

The cabin's location is absolutely amazing!!! Right on the creek. You can sleep to the sound of the water at night. Great size for a couple to spend a weekend. We felt so away from everything and everyone. There is a fenced area for the pups but it is on a very steep incline. Only issue we had was our littlest dog getting out from under the gate. We will absolutely be visiting this spot aga6!

Song of the South was so much more than we expected! It had been on our list for some time and we're soooo glad we finally picked it! Inside and out, this cabin was all we wanted and more! We were hoping to see the beauties of nature and the cabin did not disappoint. The creel was teaming with crawdads. In the mornings and evenings, deer would cross on a path directly across the creek from the upper floor. Also in the evenings, a massive blue heron would stop by to do a little fishing. Speaking of fishing, some decent size trout would come to feed around 7:00pm or so. I was unsuccessful at catching any but it was fun trying. Birds were everywhere, bunnies played in the driveway, and even a friendly black snake came by for a visit. Staying at the cabin was like being in a nature documentary. If nature is your thing, you will LOVE it! It's definitely on our list for a return visit!

Description of the cabin is accurate but the pictures are deceiving.
All of the outdoor spaces and outdoor furniture need TLC. Photographer must have used a spotlight to take the inside pics because the cabin is incredibly dark. I had to use a flashlight to see inside my suitcase.
Convenient to stores and restaurants
Comfortable beds
Clean hot tub
Decent rental overall, but would not book this one again.
