About this cabin rental
Relax and enjoy the soothing sounds of FIGHTINGTOWN CREEK right outside your cabin. Fish for native trout, pan for gold, snooze in the creekside hammock, with a roaring fire at the creekside firepit. The Benton MacKaye hiking trail is within a short walk of your rustic, cabin and when you return, soak in the large hot tub under the stars as the water flows by, or enjoy a drink while overlooking the water from the wraparound deck. Enjoy your morning coffee on the screened porch. As one of Sliding Rock Cabins' private cabins, Riverhouse Retreat is nested on 4 ACRES of deeply wooded forest in the North Georgia Mountains and is a perfect romantic getaway. Main floor: 1 king bedroom & 1 bath with shower/tub combo. Upstairs loft has open king bedroom, and bathroom with tub/shower combo. FENCED yard off gated decks, screened porch, woodburning fireplace, firepit. PLEASE NOTE CANCELLATION POLICY BELOW.

Access: Access to this cabin is via gravel, mountain roads. 4 wheel drive is not required, confidence in mountain driving is recommended.

Cancellations, rescheduling, or changes must be submitted in writing and confirmed received by Sliding Rock Cabins® more than thirty-one (31) days prior to the original check-in date in order to receive refund, less a Sixty Five Dollar ($65) cancellation fee. Said changes regardless of reason made within thirty-one (31) days of your original check-in date will result in a forfeiture of all moneys paid. All moneys paid are non-transferable to another rescheduled date. Refunds will be given if Agent can re-book said dates with another guest limited to the extent of rebooking. Agents are not responsible for Guests inability to arrive or if Guests chooses to depart early for any reason, or if members of Guests party do not show up. The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was more than happy with the location.

I'll admit, when we were driving up, I was very hesitant. It was definitely more rustic and out of the way than I expected, but being right on the river was a saving grace. The house had everything we needed and we definitely utilized the hot tub and fire pit/place every night. I wish we'd brought our dog, he would have loved it! It's kind of remote so we would eat out for lunch and try to cook or eat leftovers for dinner since there's nothing close to the cabin and we didn't want to drive down the roads in the dark.

We absolutely loved her this cabin. It was everything we were looking for. On the water, near town but out of the way. Definitely hope to stay here again

This property was VERY pet friendly! The scenery was picturesque and the sound of the stream outside was hypnotic. My only complaint is that we didn’t stay long enough. Highly recommend this cabin to others and would love to come back again soon.

The staff if very attempt but still had a broken toilet that they said it will take an entire day or so to fix to what I said not to. I did not want to share my off-society time with an estranger on a very small cabin for a day or two working on the toilet. We also lost internet and phone for an entire day on top that there is not cellphone signal at the cabin, and I found very discouraging the fact that they did not offer any type of compensation for none of these two incidents that cause a lot of discomfort on my stay. Especially the broken toilet on the main floor having to use the secund floor toilet for my six days stay at the place. Bright side the cabin was clean the view was great and the neighborhood perfect for walking my dogs. I would say this is a great place for a summer vacation because the river was tentative and beautiful. We saw some big fish coming up the current.
