Located in Carova Beach, this attractive house for $275 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. 4X4 REQUIRED!!! New 2019 built Canal Front home in the heart of the wild horses. This home is located in Prime horse area! New construction located two blocks from the beach. This home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with all the modern convinces. Has a spacious living and entertaining area with a 55” Smart TV and a full modern kitchen featuring stainless steel appliances, quartz counters and a huge island that seats 6. This home has all your basic kitchen needs to cook your family meals. All bedrooms have high definition televisions and are smart TV’s. Relax and sit on the screen porch and watch the sunset as the horses play in the yard. Enjoy kayaking, paddle boarding , swimming , boating or fishing all in your backyard. Carova offers plenty to do for everyone in the family. You’re just a short ride to the beach for a day of soaking up the rays and relaxation. We have corn hole boards and two paddleboard‘s and two new one person kayaks for you too enjoy during your stay. We do not provide life jackets and guest use paddle boards and kayaks at your own risk. We have three separate herds of horses that visit our home on a daily basis. *** Recent updates to the home. Outdoor shower Downstairs raised deck with seating hangout area Fire pit with seating And 2 NEW ONE PERSON KAYAKS!! *** Bedroom and Bath linens are provided*** *** Accessible by 4x4 only*** *** 2 Parking permits provided with your stay*** A fee of $150 will be charged if the permit is lost or misplaced *** Home does have exterior cameras for monitoring when we don’t have guest at the house. The house was extremely clean and well-appointed with everything we needed for our mini-vacation. As advertised, the horses showed up every day and were a joy to watch and photograph. Very remote and extremely relaxing area. My husband and I enjoyed our stay immensely! Will be back in the future.

This house is in a great location - right on the canal so you can kayak and paddle board and a couple of minutes from the beach. We enjoyed our stay, despite the windy and rainy weather we had for part of our stay. The horses visited us on the beach our first day and at the house most days - even multiple times a day. The house has everything you need and the raised deck under the house is a neat place to sit and enjoy the view and breeze in the shade. We got to kayak all the way to the bay/sound area. Along the way, we saw horses and even an otter. This was our second time vacationing in the Corolla/ Carova Beach area and we would definitely come back.

This house was in a great location right on the canal. Horses visited every day! Short drive to the beach but also walked to the beach with no issue. House was super clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Would absolutely stay at the Fouled Anchor again!

This house was super cute. Loved the quiet. House was great for our needs. Horses almost everyday. The only issue was I was not aware that we had to drive on the beach for 10 miles to reach the house. It was difficult to navigate some of the sand roads when the beach was washed out but other than that it was a wonderful stay. Really enjoyed the quiet and the beach.

Great experience overall!! This was our first trip to the OBX and Carova Beach is incredible!! The house was exactly as shown, clean and very well stocked with everything we needed. We are a family of 5, including three teenagers (two of them big boys) and we had plenty of room.
The location was perfect for us, as it is a 2 minute drive (about 10 minute walk) to the beach. The house being on the canal was awesome and gave us extra things to do with the canoes and paddle boards.
Christy is a great host, very helpful and fast to respond with any questions. All in all it was an amazing trip and we will be back!!

We had a great stay at the Foul Anchor. The home was clean and provided everything we needed for the week. We loved being canal front and using the stand up paddle boards and the kayaks was an added bonus! We were also walking distance to the fire station for the Donkey Derby! Highly recommend Foul Anchor!

The house was very clean and felt like home. We enjoyed sitting on the screened in deck over looking the canal. We got to see the wild horses in the yard and a couple of deers early in the morning. It was very quiet and peaceful. Even though we were on the canal, which we enjoyed, the beach was only a few minutes away. If I make a trip back to Carova I will definitely check to see if this house is available.

We really enjoyed staying there over the Memorial Day weekend. The house was clean and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed having the screened in porch in the back. We are definitely planning another trip there soon.

We had a wonderful time at Corolla. The home was very nice. Very clean and provided what we needed for our stay. We loved the 4WD beach. The area was quiet and peaceful. The horses did not disappoint. We saw them daily and even witnessed a group of 5 strolling down the beach. The home provided a beautiful setting. Especially enjoyed the fire pit and the corn hole games. The only thing I can think of that we wished there had been in the home was life jackets. We would have enjoyed using the kayaks or paddle boards. A great place and we hope to return again.

Our family owns a beachfront property on the 4x4 beach so we are very familiar with this area. We were in town for a wedding and our home was full with guests so we were looking for a rental to accommodate my family of 6 for the event. The owners have a spectacular property and home. They were quick to reply, the house was in perfect order upon our arrival, and our kiddos especially loved the bunk bed room.

This was the perfect house for my family. The owners have kayaks and paddle boards on the property. Hiking and hanging on the beach all right at your fingertips. It was an added treat being in such a nice quiet spot only accessible by 4 wheel drive.
Inside the house was very clean and the owners thought of the small details such as games for all ages. We especially loved chess, cards and connect four. These early morning games and late evening games provided lasting memories.
The abundance of wildlife from the house make this getaway even more special. Being able to see a great blue heron, egret, jumping fish and deer early in the morning was amazing. The wild horses were so fun to watch!

Fantastic experience! Was visiting my kids and grandkids in North Carolina and wanted a fun getaway for all.
We arrived to such a clean, comfortable home that felt new and updated. We were able to see horses every day of our stay, a family of deer and other wildlife. Every detail was carefully thought out so we didn’t want for anything.

My wife and our 3 teenage daughters enjoyed some down time between Christmas & new years here. We had some time to relax, enjoy the 4x4 beach, really enjoyed a less crowded area, as well s see some things we haven’t seen before…like horses walked around the property, daily!!

We couldn't get to the rental because we didn't have 4X4. Once we rented a 4x4 Jeep it was late. we finally found the rental but had already booked a hotel room

What a fun, wild ride to this awesome getaway! It’s a good 30 minute beach drive so be sure to look up the PSI requirements- there are free air fill stations in Corolla before the road ends. We were first timers to OBX and this house provided the real experience. Many shops were closed being the off season which was fine because we quickly learned it was worth leaving the house. Most days, we had excellent weather and the day it rained, it was a perfect light rain for kayaking. Very clean, most amenities provided. Would recommend full load of groceries and a handful of ziplock bags if you want to take anything home. Dog friendly, kid friendly. The horses were a sight to see! They don’t care about a dang thing so keep your distance for sure. Christy was amazing and extremely prompt with a small issue we had. Overall excellent stay, thank you!!!

Very quaint and clean home. Set up is great for a small group. With the cooler weather we did not utilize the kayaks and paddle board, but throughly enjoyed having a fire in the fire pit. Used the cornhole boards. Saw the wild horses daily. One day we came home from the beach and had three horses in the driveway and front yard!
Only improvement would be some new pans for cooking, everything else was perfect! Looking forward to returning soon!

This home is beautiful and in a great location, we had horses and deer visit us often. It was clean, the owners respond almost instantly and pretty much has all the necessities you need. Hoping to plan another visit in the next year or so, we all enjoyed our selfs ALOT!

Our family of four, two friends and our dog found this place to be just perfect for our needs. The beautiful horses visited the property and the area everyday. Daily coffee on the front deck to catch the sunrise and hear the ocean waves! Daily cocktails on the back deck to watch the sunset! Quiet neighborhood, just a quick 2 minute drive to the beach! Loved it and we’ll definitely look to return again next year! Very responsive hosts too!

Property was amazing!!! House was so clean, had needed supplies and even bonuses like paddle boards and kayaks. Daily visits from horses that you have to see to believe. Done with Assateague. This place and property blows them away! Hosts super attentive and very friendly. Beach was very close and so nice. Never crowded. Family and dog had a great time. Enjoyed coffee overlooking canal every morning. Just can’t say enough about Carova Beach and this perfect rental. Memories certainly made!!!!

Unreal Location and Scenery = Ultimate Relaxing Vacation
This property is amazing. Clean and spacious enough for our family of four plus grandma, with everything we needed for an isolated week at the beautiful beach. We loved being on the canal to kayak. Daily horse visits were amazing. Our family felt like we were on another planet - we were so relaxed, time stood still. Great hosts. We hope to stay again in the future!

Best beach vacay ever
This was our first time in Carova and it was magical. The property was better than advertised! The home was clean and the perfect amount of space for my husband, myself, and our 2 Labs. We especially loved that it was away from other homes so the pups could run around. And to top it off we saw the beautiful horses every day. We are already planning to return to Carova Beach next summer and hope we can rent this home again.
