Bluff Dwellings Resort

Property was even better than expected - clean, beautiful, incredible location. Room felt brand new and loved the rock face behind us...stunning. Managers at FD all very nice, helpful, accommodating. Free granola bars a nice touch. Hiked the trail behind the hotel, gorgeous...a little more of a nail-biter than I expected! Super fun. Didn't try on-site restaurant, but looked cute, clean, busy in a good way. Got a piece of cake though and it was tasty. BBQ restaurant in town was decent, good food, outdoor seating option for pup, no vibe, but solid option in a small town. Twin Rocks Gallery and coffee shop were nice stops too.

Pet fee is steep - though happy to pay so I can bring my buddy on our adventure. Pet friendly accommodations are few and far between in the area

Beautiful and spacious room on two floors. OUtdoor patio wonderful. Nice swimming pool. Break fast was tasty. Nice shop at the entrance

No dinner when we arrived. SHould be a late dinner option. Waiting time at breakfast too long and order came wrong.

The location was fantastic and the room was great. The pool and hot tub were excellent to finish each day - refreshing and relaxing. The food and shakes at the small breakfast place on-site were good and substantial. Easy access from the hotel to many of the parks and sites in the area. We liked that the property lighting at night is kept low to avoid light pollution and enhance the view of the night sky, which was great. The communal fireplaces and terraces were good for appreciating the excellent views of the bluffs that fully surround the hotel. The Trading Post just across the road is fantastic as well.

There are no elevators, so be prepared to carry luggage if you're on the second or third floor. While the pool and hot tub are open until 10pm, even later would be better as there were always still people using both when 10pm rolled in.
