We got a room on the top floor (15), and at the end of the hallway, as I requested. I was hoping for this to give me some extra quiet time. The room was spacious, with an extra sitting area, the view was not spectacular because we were looking at the roof of a lower building on one side and could only see the city to the other side but it was alright. The shower and facilities were there and very clean, the bed was ok (a bit narrow for the money, honestly), and the pillows very, very big (thick), great for sitting in bed while leaning. I had booked a room with access to a lounge. This is nice, you can go in there anytime and have a drink or a snack with are already paid for in the booking. The food was excellent. We had all 3 meals at the hotel, the breakfast buffet is nice and has everything you expect but doesn't go the extra mile if you're expecting a champagne breakfast or anything. For lunch, you can eat at a bar that's pretty much open from after breakfast to night time. Dinner is à la carte, the menu is large enough so there's something for everyone. The cooking on the food is perfect, the presentation as well. It exceeded expectations for sure. Michelin-star quality and presentation. I loved it.
I had a bit of trouble sleeping on the thick pillows. The fan in the bathroom ran 24/7, which made it cold at all times, except after you've just had a hot shower. We stayed for 1 night, just before our return flight and were hoping to get a good night's sleep. However (not the hotel's fault), the Sheraton next door had an event on the Friday night, and made it impossible to have a quiet stay. The music (well, the awful boom-boom-boom-noise to me) was terribly loud, the bass carried all the way to the 15th floor, nobody seems to care here if they disturb anyone else. I had to use earplugs inside the room, even when not sleeping, just to avoid getting agitated too much. That bass caused my own chest to vibrate. Awful. We had access to a lounge with "free" (already paid for) drinks and snacks. That had a TV on with a music channel blasting that wasn't my taste at all, but no remote control to turn it down or off. Also, that room was absolutely freezing. I don't know why they cool it down so much. I wanted to sit there and relax while reading but had to get out much sooner than I'd hoped.
