Penina Hotel & Golf Resort

Lovely traditional hotel with lots of room and a relaxed ambiance. The breakfasts are fabulous, and the pool complex is beautiful and the pool huge. The on site golf course is excellent, was in good condition and proved a proper test. All of the staff were fantastic, without exception.

The only downside is the hotel is it’s a bit away from areas with restaurants, bars, shops etc. it needs a taxi or to have a hire car really. Otherwise all good.

Immediately we arrived we were upgraded to pool (and golf view). I had been mean and gone for the cheaper mountain (car park) view. What a difference. great views of the golf course and pool and morning and evening sun on the balcony. We have stayed here before, some years ago and whilst always retaining old school charm, it had become a little shabby and lack lustre, but there seems to be a genuine lift of spirits, even if the decor is not perfect. The breakfast has always been amazing, and this time it completely delivered again, with addition of modern classics like shakshuka. The best Hotel breakfast choice and quality I ever enjoy.

Very friendly atmosphere and good facilities

The pool is excellent. It's a very big pool with not much guest, so was quite.

The hotel looks old. The painting is failing i several places. The room was not good clean, and the TV was disconnected from the power cable. I had to help the staff to connect the TV power cable. Had to ask for gel and body lotion as there was non on the room. The room was near the golf car station and a lot of noise from there was disturbing. I had stay in this hotel 2 times in the past and had enjoy it, but now is a bit disappointing.
