Magical week in Murren at the Hotel Alpina.

We always book hotel rooms with a view, and in all our years, this was the most incredible view we have ever seen from a room. The view from our deck of the mountains was beyond amazing. The staff were friendly and worked hard to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Our room was spotless and met our needs for a mountain vacation. And we thoroughly enjoyed the morning breakfast offered by the hotel.

It was a perfect stay.

Great place to stay in Mürren.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast. Room had a fridge too!

Minor detail, but plugs for charging phones were a bit hard to access.

I’d come again for the view and pleasant and helpful staff but be wary if you’re easily woken from sleep!

The view from the balcony is spectacular! The room is cozy and comfortable.

The walls are very thin and reverberate sound easily. Conversations and coat hangers and loud slamming room doors and balcony doors are too easily heard and disruptive to sleep.

Beautiful hotel, quiet and serene

A beautiful hotel and friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable room with a mountain view. What more could anyone want for a relaxing stay. Breakfast was very good with a nice selection and their cappuccino was the best we have had in our 3 weeks of travelling. A short walk through the village to this hotel from the cable car and the location is quiet and just what we wanted.

Would have loved an elevator as we were on the 3rd floor, but staff happily assisted us with our bags and this was very appreciated.

Breakfast was good only cold buffet... but very satisfying and fresh

They could have an omelette option. There were no warm breakfast options.

Fantastic views from this great hotel

The view is absolutely phenomenal. I had a great stay, I asked for a room with a view and was very lucky to get one and the view is spectacular! The room had a balcony from where you can see the three mountain tops. The staff was very helpful, friendly. The room was very clean. It was great!

Clifftop hotel with beautiful views

Beautiful view off the balcony as the hotel is located on the clifftop in Mueren. We were given access to the local sports center for a swim which is great

Dinner in the in-house restaurant was pretty bland. There is no lift, so if you book a higher level room, you have to walk up the stairs.

Good basic hotel with amazing views

Good location, one should definetely book a room with the mountain views. They are amazing! Good water pressure in shower and good room size. Rooms are decorated in alpine style with much wood. Hotel staff is friendly.

Bed sheets are itchy and also this hotel/restaurant was the only place in whole switzerland where my bank card for some reason did not work.

Amazing location

The view from the balcony is worth all the money.

The view from the balcony makes you not want to leave the hotel and explore the surroundings. Just kidding. There is nothing negative to say.

No lift, but it wasn't a problem for us, because we didn't have much luggage anyway.

Simply magical

Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous!! Great location, fantastic views, comfortable beds, fast free internet, good food. Nice extras like the free pool pass, small fridge in the room, and ample hangers in the wardrobe. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was simple (breads & croissants, cereal, fruit, yogurt, boiled eggs, cheese, meats, juice, and simple coffee/tea/hot cocoa) and served from 8-10A. I found this a bit late as I like to be on the trails by 8A at the latest to catch the best weather and views. But there's a Coop right down the street, so I got some things for breakfast there (incl. cold coffee) for 7 CHF.

It would be nice if breakfast started earlier (e.g. 6:30 or 7) for those of us who like to hit the trails early :)
