The staff was welcoming & friendly. The room was clean and well appointed. They recommended their restaurant for dinner, which about 100m walk away. It was authentic, friendly and very tasty. I ordered the local fresh fish specialty which was delicious: 2 kinds of ocean white fish, sautéed and served with nicely boiled potatoes and Champagne Sauerkraut! The hotel gave me a coupon for a free drink at the restaurant! Nice touch. The next day, I enjoyed a lovely walk on the dikes nearby with a view to the Wattenmeer.

I had hoped for a quieter location. I had asked for q quiet room, on higher floor, but because of the busy street outside even with a room on the side, I was woken up regularly by the car traffic. Sadly. I needed a good night's sleep and did not get it. I needed to open the window for ventilation, but repeatedly had to close it and open it again later. Also, during the whole(!!!) breakfast hours, there was a gardener using a portable electric grass mower (with a loud motor) outside the window, adding more noise. Anything but relaxing at breakfast! Very disturbing! My constructive suggestion to the hotel would be to arrange such work with loud-motor-noises, directly next the hotel rooms & near the breakfast windows, to begin AFTER the breakfast hours.(i.e. after 11 am!) and before the normal check-in.

Small room, no balcony , close to a very busy street, horribly loud at night, hard and uncomfortable mattress
