It is a lovely comfortable hotel with lots of lounges and great food options. Breakfast and the two formal restaurants and the lounge food were all very good. Location is good with Borrowdale bus and Keswick launch stops both close by. The spa was expensive but nice.

I think the Asian restaurant was the best, and the reception lounge bar was also nice. My favourite part was the spa.
The food was poor, the standard compared to the price was surprising. The breakfast was especially disappointing. Some of the staff including one chap who works at the lounge bar was incredibly rude. The spa was lovely, except their problem with mold and spider nests. We first got a non refurbished room despite paying extra for a superior room, once we spoke to reception they said that room was one of the only rooms left they haven’t refurbished and most people complain, as we were paying the same price as refurbished rooms this was not fair.
