Clean and quiet.

The beach maybe had too many restrictions for snorkel and swimming.

The location. It is a quiet and small hotel with old rustic charm. It was just like this when we first came 30 years ago and we’ve been several times since. It is good that the hotel retains this charm despite the fact that there are hundreds of visitors on the daily tours coming in from other hotels and resorts to swim with turtles which is a real circus and money maker for the tour operators.
The hotel isn’t affected by this invasion which is one reason we chose to go back again.
It was more expensive than we thought it should be. We didn’t have the breakfast included this trip but we have done so before. We found the associated restaurant prices to be exaggerated and there was no fish fillet available which is strange for a restaurant on the coast. Nevertheless the ceviche and arránchela we ordered were of good quality, though a bit expensive.

We came in late from a delayed flight at 2am, staff was waiting to guide us in tired with two kids. Amazing!

Ocean front
The adjoining door between our unit and the next one was paper thin. We could hear inappropriately loud music next door and screaming and fighting from that same couple. The baby was crying hysterically. It was terrible. No night watch person intervened. It went on die hours and we could not sleep. It was terrible!
