El buffet del desayuno muy bueno y completo con productos locales de calidad y las vistas al lago, personal muy amable y competente sobre todo en el desayuno

Hotel rústico y con mucha falta de mantenimiento y con dejadez sobre todo la planta segunda del hotel sin reformar, no hay cortinas de noche en las ventanas , las que hay son decorativas, solo persianas (mallorquinas), el hotel está dividido en varios edificios uno de ellos (vistas jardín) sin ascensor, el check out caótico no funcionaba el ascensor lo estaban arreglando (lo dicho falta mantenimiento).

Super location but totally overpriced and unfortunately not recommendable.

The location is very nice because it is directly at the lake promenade. It is very good available by car because they have an own parking area.

The value for the money is very bad! We paid for a room roughly 250€ per night (including breakfast). To be more precise, the room is super tiny, the furniture is very old, especially in the bath room. Our room was directed to the lake but I front of our window was another building. People have thrown garbage in front of the window in the streets the whole night - including glas bottles! So we didn’t have proper sleep. Also, the room doesn’t have AC, which would be fine when you let the window open. However due to the extreme noice you had to choose between no sleep but some air, or sauna conditions inside. Furthermore, the check out time is way too early. People/ guests have to check out until 10.30 am. That means you don’t even have time to sleep out and / or sit in the beautiful breakfast outside area for having a good and relaxed morning coffee or tea. The staff is nice and friendly. Please also note, the Hotel does not accept American Express or the German DKB Visa Credit Card. So I recommend to pay by booking.com in advance since they accept those payment methods! Also here I must say, if a guest is supposed to be pay that amount of money for a night, then I would assume at least a little bit of customer service in terms of payment methods.

Very confortable room and always helpful staff.

A most enjoyable stay - comfortable room and very helpful staff. Excellent breakfast with a wide choice. We have stayed at IL Portico before and have always enjoyed it.

Excellent hotel in beautiful surrounds.

Beautiful hotel, excellent location. Very clean, staff were extremely friendly and accommodating- particularly the waiters at the restaurant!

Can be noisy at night from the street - would recommend using the provided earplugs.

Fabulous hotel with loads of character

Last minute choice of town to stay in on our travels. Delighted with Cannobio and Hotel Il Portico. Fabulous old building and lovely,comfortable large room. One day we will return😊

The rooms are a bit old but we've seen renovations going on, so for sure it is being improved.

Fantastic patio, staff helpfully sourced a fan as the air-conditioner was broken (presumably due to the heatwave). Location is unbeatable for the cost.

Great hotel in the center of Connobio.

Perfect location in the center of Connobio. We were in the dependance - annexed to the main hotel and had a room that opened up to a beautiful courtyard. Very quiet and well-maintained hotel. Felt like we were guests in a 19th century villa. Free parking right next to the hotel. Amazing value.

We loved breakfast: delicious scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, fresh croissants and bread,... The room was nice (with a very good view on the lake) and the bathroom was spacious. Very good location!

The wifi signal wasn't very good. At the restaurant there was an unfriendly waiter.

Fantastic!

Fantastic hotel with a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is perfect, near many restaurants and bars. Our room was quiet and comfortable. Garden area is lovely. Parking lot nearby was convenient. Thank you!

great hotel at the lake in town. perfect for short trips, hiking and excursions.

great location and very friendly staff. Even though Corona made staffs life difficult, they managed it very well. Spacy rooms with comfy beds.

depending where your room is, the street in front can be a bit noisy in the morning.

All good, we were pretty happy in general

We wanted lake view which we got but on the other side the room was just 1 level up from the main place of Cannobio where it was pretty noisy. This did disturb a bit our sleep.
