The property was incredible with amazing scenic views. The wine was being made while we walked through the property, which was an incredible experience. Both restaurants were fantastic to eat at, one being a bit more high-end for dinner. The breakfast is one of the best we've had with an abundance of selection. About a 15-20 minute walk from the train station so very easy to get with but also so quiet!

Room Clara was lovely and looking over the Douro river. Cozhina Clara restaurant was incredible, worth trying the tasting menu. Excellent breakfasts and good food at Tim's Terrace for a more casual alternative. Lovely pool area.
While we were lucky enough to get taxi from train station on arrival and back at the end of our stay, however it can be difficult to book. Might worth booking in advance if possible.

I would have liked to get much more helpful responses to questions I sent days upfront to the reception where I asked for help with options for a vineyard walk (as there was none scheduled until two days after our departure). The answer was simply: this is not what we do, talk to the partner company (that didn’t offer walks during our time at Quinta de la Rosa). I ended up organising a trip with the vineyard next door (Quinta da Foz) that was very friendly and helpful.

The casual pizza resturant had very bad food and plastic chairs- the wine was not good.
The staff were very nice and the room was large and clean.
We ate in the main restaurant at night- the food was very average.
The breakfasts were very nice
