A Wonderful Experience – We Truly Felt at Home We stayed at Amenano Apartment for 9 nights, and we can honestly say it was one of the best choices we could have made for our stay in Catania. Everything was fantastic, from the cleanliness and comfort to the location and hospitality. The apartment was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully organized. It had everything we needed and, above all, gave us an incredible sense of comfort and warmth. After staying for 9 nights, what I would highlight most is that we never felt like we were staying in a rental apartment – we truly felt at home. That is a special feeling and something that is not easy to find. Cleanliness – 10/10 Everything was spotless, well-maintained, and taken care of with great attention to detail. Location – 10/10 A wonderful and convenient location for exploring Catania and getting around easily. Comfort – 10/10 The apartment was extremely comfortable and perfect for a longer stay. Service & Hospitality – 10/10 Excellent hospitality, great communication, and genuine care throughout our stay. Value for Money – 10/10 At the end of our stay, we left with nothing but positive feelings and the certainty that we had chosen the right place. Amenano Apartment was not simply a place where we stayed during our holiday in Catania – for 9 nights, it truly became our home away from home. We highly recommend it and, if we return to Catania, we would choose Amenano Apartment again without hesitation. 10/10 in every aspect. Thank you for everything!

We stayed in apartment 103, which was pleasantly furnished, comfortable and offered everything we needed. It is located at a 2 minutes' walk from the Duomo, with plenty of restaurants, shops and coffee bars in the area.

All good. No problems with the apartment at all. Just be aware that during the Christmas period not all tourist attractions are open to the public.

Absolutely amazing location!! Couldn’t believe how central we were and surrounded by so many great places to visit and eat. Apartment had everything we needed and the host was very responsive. Useful videos to show to how to get in and helped to arrange a taxi to collect us from the airport.

Aircon not quite as effective in the bedroom area, did need the fan on all night.

The property was well insulated and on a quiet-ish street with very little to no noise, which made out stay quite comfortable despite being quite sensitive to noises at night time. For me that's a priority. Accomodation well situated, safe street, basically in the city centre. Just a couple of minutes away from the main square and the beautiful duomo. We were also able to leave our luggages at the premises after the check out for a few hours, which has been helpful.

Upon arrival, the cleaning staff were still in the apartment, explaining that the previous guests had left it in such a state that it took them longer than expected to clean. This meant we had to wait around 30 to 40 minutes before entering, as we did not feel comfortable leaving our belongings unattended. Once inside, it quickly became clear that the toilet flush was not working at all. Interestingly, the cleaning staff, who had been there the entire time, chose not to mention this, presumably hoping we simply would not notice. I immediately informed the host, who up until that point had been very responsive. From then on, silence. Only after speaking again with the cleaning staff did they finally contact the host, who then arranged for a plumber to come, another 40 minutes of waiting. When the plumber arrived, he announced the issue was “fixed,” though in reality the flush remained broken, constantly leaking and making noise as it tried to refill endlessly. Because of this, we were moved to a nearby apartment for the night, only to be moved back the next day. Upon returning, the flush problem persisted exactly as before. The condition of the apartment did not improve either: the floors still had peanuts, dust, and dirt scattered around, suggesting that “extra cleaning time” was perhaps not as thorough as implied. Adding to the experience, the balcony door barely functioned. It took us half an hour to figure out how to force it open, only to discover a note taped to the main door apologising that it could not be repaired due to “holiday time in Italy.” Considering holiday closures happen in August, (I'm Italian and I know that very well), the note was clearly months old, which made the excuse feel less like an explanation and more like neglect. Overall, between the delays, lack of honesty, and ongoing maintenance issues, this was not the standard of accommodation we expected.
