All was fine where I stayed.

Absolutely beautiful building and setting. The staff were really helpful and unobtrusive.
There was a wedding the weekend we visited which also was not a distraction at all - in fact it was quite nice and lively without being rowdy!
Breakfast was a good standard buffet breakfast which both my son and I enjoyed.
Salomons is around a 20-25 minute walk from a really nice pub where we had pizza and a couple of drinks on the night we arrived.
Nothing really. The accommodation we were in (outside of the main building) was a little basic but completely fine given the price and given that you get the lovely hillside and woodland setting included!

The property is impressive in size but needs maintenance. The accommodation is separate from the main house
The accommodation is tired and needs decoration, the beds are small doubles and there is no water pressure for the showers.
