About this house rental

Located in Wilbur-By-The-Sea, this charming house for $395 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. You will not believe your eyes when you see this magnificent, upscale four bedroom beachfront home. Enjoy the beautiful sunrise from your private getaway. This white sand beach and “oh so” blue water will take your breath away. If you are looking to get away from the crowds, look no further! This beautifully decorated home is immaculate, light, and bright. Pictures cannot describe the beauty. The updated kitchen is fully stocked for cooking at home with modern stainless steel appliances. If you enjoy cooking in, the outdoor kitchen with gas grill, gas stove burner, and warming drawer is just the set up you need to feed your family beachside. Spread out for privacy among the two floors of living space with a den and master bed/bath on each floor. Each master has a King size bed and ensuite bath. There are two guest rooms; one on each floor. One bedroom has twins, and one boasts a queen. The upstairs master bedroom has an adjoining nook for little ones with a twin size bed. There is also an in home office space for those who cannot take the month off. All three bathrooms are newly appointed with exquisite tile work and large showers. The downstairs master features a large bathroom with dual sinks. Downstairs living space features a wet bar with mini fridge, sink, and dishwasher for washing those bar items or dishes used when grilling at the outdoor kitchen. Home features three outdoor living spaces with two oceanside porches and a large western facing deck as well. Outdoor shower area is equipped with hot and cold water and makes rinsing sand a breeze. The large laundry room with sink area provides the perfect set up for washing and drying. The beautifully landscaped backyard is a terraced, garden haven. Three fun, waterfront restaurants (Crabby Joes at Sunglow Pier, North Turn, and Boondocks) are located within walking distance if you prefer to park the car for your stay. ONLY MONTHLY rentals are accepted per county ordinances. NO EXCEPTIONS!! Prices are firm and non negotiable. Pet free and smoke free home. We do not allow pets or smoking! We do NOT make exceptions to the pet rule for anyone or any type of pet; please DO NOT ask me to make an exception for your pet.

Great view, and location, however I have some concerns about the cleanliness of the HVAC system. My guests and I noticed a black residue around the AC vents and also developed sinus and respiratory issues during our stay. This was possibly due to the owner insisting that the thermostat be set to 79 degrees prior to departure, which likely creates moisture within the system and causes black mold. My stay was from mid January 2022 to mid March 2022. Owner insists the carpets were in "pristine condition in the Fall of 2021," but they were not in such condition when I arrived. I have no way of knowing who stayed in the home between Fall 2021 and my arrival, but the carpets were not in pristine condition upon my arrival. High traffic stains from tile to carpet were noted. The majority of my stay I was there alone, with a friend or two here and there. Out of the 57 days of my stay, my children and grandchildren were there for 7 days. I hardly think the carpets were stained throughout the entire house during my stay, however this is what the owner has insinuated, charging me an additional fee to have them cleaned. Additionally she is attempting to charge me for simply turning two cheap recliners in another direction so that watching the television would be possible. She claims the house sleeps 9, but the living room upstairs only has 3 chairs, and 1 small sofa making it difficult for all 9 guests to comfortably gather. The owner claims that the maid had to spend extra time "soaking and washing the sheets due to blood stains." One would think that a thorough soak and wash to the sheets after a 57-day rental would be a part of the standard cleaning fee. Me nor my guests bled out on the sheets, so I can't understand what would incur the additional cleaning fees the owner has imposed on me. The owner has claimed that a "starfish decor" was broken, I haven't figured out what she was referring to. She also claims that the "protective freezer fan cover" was also left broken, however my daughter and I discovered this to be broken while collecting ice from the freezer, as we noticed it had been taped with black electrical tape. Electrical tape does not work very well in freezing conditions. A prior occupant , or perhaps the owner, must have taped it in an effort of a lame repair. Owner claims to have pictures of these "damages," as do I, in addition to photos of the master bath and utility room ceilings falling down on my head.

We loved our stay in this very well stocked home. The gorgeous view from the living room/kitchen/dining area and deck make it worth every penny. The beds are comfortable and the split levels allow for privacy when needed. The only down side was the steepness of the stairs and lack of grab bars in the bathrooms for my elderly parents. It is a lovely location on the no drive portion of the beach, and I recommend it for families or group of friends. Thank you,

This is a very nice property and home. It is a nicer home than the pictures give credit. There is plenty of space that two families could feel like they have there own space, but also can come together when they want. The garden area is a very nice bonus that really adds to the properties' appeal. We would stay here again without a doubt!

What a great start to every day when you come from the bedroom hallway and look out the vast expanse of windows that provide a high and wide angle of the beach, waves and sunrises. The patio with the lovely gardens are an added joy. The kitchen has most of the needed utensils and cooking vessels to prepare almost any level of meal. The lower level has a TV stand that worked perfectly for a multi screen work station. Great food within 15 minutes. No cars on this portion of the beach and not the busiest area with visitors. A very comfortable stay!

We had a very enjoyable week. The location is perfect and the layout of the house is very nice for an extended family. Our daughter and son in law were in the lower level with their small children while the rest of us were upstairs. Neither group was bothered by noise. Be sure to bring supplies with you as the house doesn't have trash bags, dishwasher soap or toilet paper. We had to run out to the grocery to pick these items up within 24 hours of arriving. We've never experienced this problem at a rental in the past. The owners checked in on us near the end of our stay asking if we had a dog then questioning me when I said no. We were rather offended by this as we follow the rules provided by owners.
