The Iris Motel

It’s a perfect location for a work meeting at TN National Guard Headquarters. It’s a dated hotel but has been renovated into a nice, minimalist kind of space. It’s in a location that has great restaurants nearby, and maybe best of all, locally roasted coffee in the room! We’ll happily stay here again.

It’s in a part of town that great local food, but the overall locale appears to be just a little sketchy, pay attention to your surroundings and you’re fine.

The owners have done a very nice job transforming this very old motel into a really neat place. Room accommodations are minimal but adequate. My room (201) had beautiful original wood floors and all-new bath/plumbing fixtures.

I have no complaints about anything, I just need to remember to ask for a first-floor room next time. Stairs are a challenge for me nowadays.

Convenient location. Rooms was clean. Parking easy.

TV didn't work, so after 2 nights, they gave us a different, smaller room. Furniture was like elementary school cubbies. There was a nice painting on the wall. We'd booked for 3 nights. We understood that there would be no housekeeping services during our stay, however, the room initially had enough amenities for one night. We had to request more. Staff was responsive (no one on site -- contact was via phone/text} and tried to help. We shouldn't have needed to request basics.
