Absolutely stunning!

This place is absolutely stunning - located on a hill, so you have beautiful view on the surroundings. The house is perfect - built in stone and wood, cozy and peaceful. The host - Mr Patrick is so kind and helpful! I hope we will can back soon. Seriously, this is top 5 places I have every been.

Very poor

Clean nice rooms wit a beautiful view over the valley.

Ruined summer holiday. The Chamonix Valley is not ready for canicule. Everything is in the sun, a pleasant thing for low temperatures. Breakfast with no intimacy. You stay at a table outside, in the sun with other guests at the same table with you. They speak loud and in other languages. Hard to discuss with your partner. Poor breakfast, only bread, butter, jam. You also get a basket with one croissant and one pain au chocolat. So you need to split the croissant with your partner. In August it was canicule in Chamonix Valley and no rock climbing or aplinism activities could be done due to high temperatures. We decided to shorten our stay, unfortunately the chalet policy is very strict and we couldn't get a refund for the case we didn't enjoy our stay. We ended up paying 7 nights for 2 ruined vacation days.

Super comfortable and happy stay there. It exceeded all our expectations.

The chalet is a 5-star contemporary accommodation. It has a very unique private location with breathtaking views. Breakfast was fantastic. Owners of the property are very nice people. We wish we could stay longer there.

Perfect place to stay near Mont Blanc

We loved our stay at this beautiful property. The hosts, Patrick and Christine, are so welcoming and helpful, The room and bathroom are spacious and well designed with a very comfortable bed and pillows. The view is amazing! We particularly enjoyed breakfast on the terrace, Patrick makes an excellent fresh fruit juice. The home is well situated for exploring the mountains and Patrick was very helpful with advice and information on local walks and activities. It is best to have a car when staying here as the walk from Les Houches is several kilometres uphill. It is lovely to stay in such peaceful surroundings yet easy to get to Chamonix and the mountains.

Exceptional

Absolutely superb! Patrick and Christine were perfect hosts and made us feel so welcome in their home. Stunning views from our very comfortable and modern room on the ground floor! Patrick supplied us with a beautiful breakfast each morning as well as advice on walks, activities and restaurants in the area. A relaxing location only 10-15mins drive from Chamonix. Would definitely recommend a stay at Chalet des grands bois and hope to be back soon!

Perfect

Location was perfect and picturesque. Car needed when minimal snow at base or a good 20 minute walk down and a challenging walk up, ski locker at Balmat sports near Pararion Lift.

Charming alpine chalet with modern facilities and friendly hosts, perfect for ski/snowboarding in Les Houches

Beautiful property with clean and comfortable rooms. Amazing views, lovely hosts, great facilities. Indie the dog was a welcome surprise at breakfast!

Very tight, winding road so get a 4x4 car.

Amazing place, will return if we go back to Chamonix :)

The owners are a lovely couple that are willing to help with anything you need. They also live in the house and they make sure breakfast and everything else is great for the guests ;) The house is just stunning, new, elegant, clean.. The room was big, even the bathroom was worth mentioning (huge rain shower). The views from the place are incredible, and for us it was worth the bit of extra drive from Chamonix to get there.

Nothing remarkable. Only to mention something, at the beginning it was a bit unclear for us which of the common areas could we use, specially after we found out that the owners use them, too. However we never disturbed each other so all fine :)

Incredible place for an extraodinary, comfortable and quite stay.

Everything is so amazing about this chalet. The hosts are super friendly. The room is comfortable with panorama view. We really enjoyed the panorama living room for breakfast. This accommodation is perfect for people who are looking for comfort and quietness.

Paradise chalet in the Alps

Brand new and modern chalet off the beaten path. The smell of wood welcomes you while the proud owners lead you towards your bedroom. Everything is spotless clean. The view from your bedroom is breathtaking. Different types of local cheese and a variety of delicious jam accompany croissant and home made cake, not to mention fresh squeezed orange juice, tea, coffee and fresh fruit of the season while you have your breakfast in a paradise terrace facing Aiguille du Midi. The owners, a lovely middle-aged couple, are very friendly and will tell you all you need to know about how to get about in the region.

If you are looking for a quiet spot, away from the crowds, this is the place. You may however need a 4x4 for the small and windy road uphill in winter. It was however not an issue in July, during normal weather conditions.

Excellent stay

Amazing b&b in the mountains, 15min drive to Chamonix. Free parking spot in front of the house. Sauna available as well. Patrick, the host, was very friendly and accessible. Breakfast also good (fresh OJ, coffee, croissant, cheese, baguette,...). Would definitely recommend this place!
