I like that everyone was nice and welcoming. The food and drinks were amazing. The transporting accommodations were smooth and staff is very helpful.

The room could use some more lighting. The guests should know if they have to climb those stairway to get to their rooms.

The owner was very involved in the satisfaction of guests, even allowing me to use one of the spaces as my office to work and even gave me access to the work router and an ethernet chord. That level of care was greatly appreciated!

The staff seemed a bit unapproachable. They wouldn't smile or try to start a light banter. They always had a blank stare on their faces. Not friendly at all. Also, although the hotel righted the wrong, the cleaning staff took $30 out of my room and one of the girls threw away my food after the hotel said I could store my food in the hotel fridge since the mini fridge in my room wasnt working. This made me feel very uncomfortable since I no longer wished for anyone to go into my room while I was gone. Taking a guest's money off their desk is beyond uncalled for and I dont care what the excuse was. That's called being a thief (a "volè" in kreyol). They also should have double checked that everything in the room was working like the mini fridge before I arrived. Also, I didnt appreciate that one of the drivers charged me extra to go up with me to the Citadel when that was never discussed prior. Everyone seemed to charge me extra for every little thing just because they assumed that being from America (although I am Haitian as well) means Im rich and I should pay everyone more. That made me lose complete respect for them. If I choose to pay more, thats my decision. Its not because of where I come from and what they assume my bank account looks like!

All the meals and the view were great. My husband enjoyed the fresh fruits and freshly squeezed passion fruit juices. The room was decently maintained. The staff was cordial. The surroundings were fairly quiet

The temperature in the room was hot especially since our room faced the morning sun. Our room air conditioner only pushed hot air when it was on during the night. We had to sleep with no clothes on in order to survive the nights. We could not wait to leave the hotel because we experienced extreme heat in our room faced. In addition the hotel did not have adequate transportation for the guests
