It was like staying with friends. I can't wait to return.

It was very cold outside and the room was warm and cosy. Excellent choice for breakfast and well cooked. Everything I needed in the room was provided.

You can't improve on perfection. There was nothing I didn't like.

Visit the White Cottage

The cottage was unique and a lovely example of a house of that period. The garden was large and delightful to sit in. Donna and Steve were perfect hosts, couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast was a joy, quality produce and cooked very well.

Heating needed to come on 1 hour earlier in the evening however it was very warm while sleeping. The bathroom window would benefit from appropriate glass for privacy as it looked onto the carpark. However pulling the blind down did help.

Had the best family time together

Excellent food all cooked well Beautiful garden to sit in and relax in the sunshine. Made extremely welcome accomodating four children well Lovely peaceful lounge for us all to be together. Had drinks together in the evening. Nothing we could improve. Wonderful stay

A lovely clean character property with welcoming staff, offering a very comfortable and peaceful stay.

It was very tastefully decorated, light, with a modern feel yet retaining the authenticity of an older property. Comfortable bed, squeaky clean rooms good choice of breakfast foods. Beautiful garden. Easy parking. What more can you ask?

Great location for us and a gorgeous home with lots of space inside and out.

Headroom was a little tight in some places but not a real problem.

Beautiful little B&B. Rooms are everything you need and beds very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. Owners Donna & Steve couldn't have done any more. Steve even gave me a last minute lift to the wedding, completely saving me!

A beautiful place to stay with excellent hosts.

Donna and Steve were very welcoming. Our room was very comfortable and beautifully clean with tea and coffee making facilities provided. Breakfast was lovely. We had the option of using the guest lounge whenever we wanted and to sit in the beautiful garden. I requested some wine for my partner's birthday which was ready for us on our return from dinner.Donna and Steve were always ready for a chat if we saw them. We cannot recommend this beautiful property more highly. We plan to return as soon as we can. An added bonus was a delightful pub less than 5 minute walk from The White Cottage that served great food and friendly staff.

How can you improve on perfection. There is nothing to dislike.

An absolute gem of a place.

What a beautiful quirky cottage, a listed building with lots of interest. Tastefully decorated and lovely and clean. Lots of thoughtful little touches.

There wasn’t anything to dislike about the White Cottage other than I couldn’t stay longer!!!

The house and gardens are beautiful and the surrounding village is charming. When we left some items behind by accident Donna and Steve organised forwarding them to us and we’re very helpful and responsive.

Perfect!

Immaculately clean. Delicious breakfast, lots of choice. Stunning garden with shady spots for reading in hot sunny days. Steve and Donna were excellent hosts. Perfectly located for lots of areas to walk or shop or just enjoy the beach. Lovely thick walls so nice and cool even on really hot nights. Colyton is a very pretty village with lovely friendly, local people.

Highly recommend

Donna and Steve are extremely good hosts. From the friendly welcome to the tasty breakfasts and the chats about our day. The fresh milk and water supplied each day. The spotlessly clean room which is freshened every day. You couldn't ask for more. Our room was a good size and comfortable. The White Cottage is very central to a lot of the attractions in East Devon and only 13 miles from Lyme Regis in Dorset. It's a short walk to the Seaton Tramway, which is a lovely way to get Seaton. There is a very pretty garden with furniture for guests use. Also private off road parking. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending The White House.

The White Cottage is beautiful with a lovely garden, Donna & Steve were very welcoming to us and our grand daughter. Breakfast was great, full English, cereal & toast. We had a really lovely stay and would 100% stay there again.

Beautiful old building, all modern conveniences, lovely hosts, great location.

This property looked good on the website but was even better in reality. I couldn't fault it - a beautiful old building, in pristine condition, with all mod cons - and to top it off, a lush and spacious garden out the back. Hosts were so helpful and quick to deal with any queries. Room was clean and well equipped, with a lovely garden view, breakfast was fresh, plentiful and well presented. Location was excellent, within a lovely old town and close to so many local attractions on the south Devon coast: Seaton, Beer, Abbotsbury, Corfe Castle, Lyme Regis. I'd return any time.
