The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, even allowing us to pick pecan nuts in their private garden. What was refreshing is that this is not a key in a lockbox accommodation. We were given all the info we could need regarding where to eat and what to do whilst in Graaf Reinet. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and some ingredients were even picked fresh from the garden. We slept very well in a clean and comfortable room which had all the necessities. The garden with its under cover seating area was peaceful and relaxing. If we have an opportunity to visit this town again, we will certainly return to The Whyte House.

The owners went out of their way to accommodate us - our husbands needed to eat breakfast at 6h45 on Sunday despite the kitchen only being ready at 7.15 but at 6.45 there was a fabulous cooked breakfast ready for them.
I left my phone charger in the bedroom and the cleaner handed it to the office and I was messaged so I could collect it before leaving Graaff Reinet - that was awesome - thank you
Breakfast was amazing by the way
Just a personal thing, the suite has an open bathroom so no privacy for the toilet. The other rooms had separate toilets so had we known we would have booked the other room. It just would have been nice to know before booking - but I stress, this is just our personal preference
