Cycling trip to Ypres

Spacious, with a lovely front room. Great décor and very clean . Rooms were fab and had superb amenities.

Very steep stairs between floors.

The property was fine, the owner was very rude to keep us waiting in the cold for 1 hour.

The property was very clean and it was within walking distance of the centre of the city

I've never paid a deposit in cash or paid for gas usage before and I've been a genius member of booking.com for years. The owner was very funny about this, I don't think the advert is clear when you book and pay in advance with no refund. The owner initially said I could pay the deposit in £ then decided it had to be Euro's. The place has steep stairs and stone walls so if we hadn't been out most of the time the additional gas bill could have been high. We called the owner at 4 pm as she requested 1 hour notice to gain access at 5 pm. She told me she couldn't make it until 5.30 pm even though we had paid to have access from 5 pm. Then she turned up at 6 pm and then only after I phoned her. It was freezing cold outside I think it's unacceptable to be kept waiting 1 hour in the cold waiting for entrance to a property that was advertised as available from 5 pm.

There is nothing I can add here, we thoroughly enjoyed then home. We will be back again.

Excellent stay, very accommodating and brilliant location!

really well equipped property. great location, easy walking distance into Ypres centre. also easy to access by car and parking outside was really helpful. Host was very accommodating with arrival and departure. Whole property was clean and had everything we needed for a week

only two very minor things stopped this from being a 10/10 stay! 1) Stairs are VERY steep! this wasn’t a problem for us but may be for others staying, this wouldn’t stop us staying again but it would stop us from taking our parents for example to stay there as they would struggle. 2) The bed in the top room was very noisy, every movement woke us up all through the night with the noise when one of us turned over, and I’m not a light sleeper! sleep on the 1st floor instead!

it’s that hood I would stay there again no problem.

This property has 3 separated rooms, clean and tidy, with everything you need for a relaxing self catering holiday, there is restaurant and pubs with in easy walking distance (10 minutes walk) and the host is great and very helpful.

the only thing I can say is the stairs are very steep, but that’s the normal in many houses in Ypres, and if you slow down you will be all right.

Everything was perfect & amazing value for money, Will definitely use this apartment again!

Good value despite poor behavior from the guest.

The accommodation is very good value, clean, well equipped, with easy parking.

The check-in was a bit hasty, bording on rough. One of the rooms wasn't ready nor made available for us although we rented the full house at full price ( =>no inviting guests during the weekend) The stairs are steep and dangerous. (not shown in the picture) The building has a very inefficient heating system (very expensive) and has very poor thermic insulation. The house also lacks ventilation and you have to constantly open the windows to let some air in. It is important to mention considering the owner came up asking 1 euro per cubic meter of gas (when market price is around 40 cents per cubic meter). We were lucky it was summer. The check out was a disaster. Unacceptable manners.

Good

Location was excellent, easy 5 minute walk to Ypres town centre. Owner was very pleasant and easy to contact to make arrangements. Fire in main living area heated room quickly and was easy to use. Room became very cosy, very quickly

An exvellent stay and I would recommend this property to travellers with older children.

The property was so clean and the owners greeted us promptly. There was plenty of space in the property and the attic bedroom was really lovely. The location was fantatsic, just a 5 minute walk from the centre of the town.

The stairs were extremeley steep which did not bother us but if I was travelling with young children it would have caused some issues. Please be aware that gas has to be paid for seperately.

We had a lovely stay. It was like a home from home and very comfortable.

The Meet and Greet was wonderful and was the Departure. Deposit returned on the day of departure.

There wasn't really anything no to like. But the stairs to the 1st and 2nd Floor were rather steep.
