The biggest plus is definitely the location — lots of cafés and restaurants within walking distance, and we loved sitting on the balcony and watching the streets below. The view was great too.
Viku, who looked after us, was genuinely lovely — always smiling, helpful, and made us a really good breakfast. He was definitely the highlight of our stay.
Overall, a decent stay, mainly for the location, balcony and Viku’s hospitality.
The main downside was the room size. It felt quite cramped for two people, with very little space to move around. The bathroom also has a glass door with just a thin curtain/sheet for privacy, which might not work for everyone. We were two girls, so it wasn’t a huge issue for us. Also, there was no one around when we arrived for check-in, which was a little inconvenient.

At very close proximity to the Galle Fort. Very compact yet sufficient hotel in the heritage dutch area of Galle .
The Caretaker Vikku was very friendly and knocked the door promptly for breakfast in the morning . The breakfast was perfect as well . The Hoppers and Sambal were the highlight

A really comfy room, perfect for one or two people, and located in the heart of the fort, close to restaurants, gem shops, the lighthouse and southern wall. Excellent breakfast, and wonderful staff.
Just be mindful that The Bend is located on the corner of a busy road, so there is a fair bit of noise from traffic. Mostly it adds to the lovely vibe of the town, but it may be an inconvenience if you're a light sleeper.

The location was excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also good. However, the room was extremely small and cramped, with almost no space to move around freely. Having the bathroom inside the room made the space feel even more uncomfortable. I would not stay here again.
