About this villa rental
Situated in Herrsching, this lovely villa for $290 per night is a great choice for your next break. This exceptional and beautifully furnished apartment on the second and last floor of a multi-party villa with direct lake access offers a large south-west facing balcony with a 180° view of the lake and the Alps. Here you can enjoy the spectacular atmosphere of the lake and romantic sunsets. There's always something to look at, be it the sailboats passing by or swaying in the wind, passengers boarding the ferries or the windsurfers and kiters carving in the water. The lake sometimes appears wild, sometimes gentle - and in the evening the flickering of the waves reflect on the ceiling of kitchen. Relax and enjoy, living, cooking, dining, sleeping or even working: all with a view of the lake. There are TVs in the living room, in the two bedrooms and in the lounge area of the gallery and Wi-Fi throughout the apartment. There's a stereo with DAB tuner and Bluetooth and USB connection in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you need for the preparation of hot and cold meals and drinks: fridge, freezer, ceran stove and oven, dishwasher, microwave, espresso machine, toaster, kettle and blender. The pots and pans, cutlery and cutting block are from WMF, the dishes from Villeroy & Boch. Comfortable leather sofas and chairs, attractive, indirect lighting and powerful pictures create the perfect atmosphere. The lake, the sun, wind and clouds create a changing, breathtaking scenery. The two bedrooms are equipped with high quality box spring double beds. In the master bedroom, a small desk overlooks the lake. This bedroom has direct access to the bathroom, and has its own small balcony. The bedroom on the gallery level offers a large walk-in closet. The bathroom with floor heating has a "walk-in shower", bath, bidet and toilet. A large sink with a spacious cabinet completes the furnishings. A separate WC is available for guests. In a small storage room you will find a vacuum cleaner, broom, ladder, and other household goods. There is also room for beverage crates and other stock. The washing machine and clothes dryer are located in the laundry room in the basement. An easily accessible parking space is available in front of the house. Since the commuter train station is only a 6-minute walk away, however, you do not necessarily need a car. The S8 train runs directly from the airport or downtown Munich to Herrsching. Shops and supermarkets for everyday needs are also within walking distance. Leisure: you will find numerous restaurants, taverns, cafes and bistros to the left and right of the apartment along Germany's longest lake promenade (10 km) that runs directly in front of the house. A few metres away, you can rent boats, other water sports equipment or bicycles. There is also a mini golf course only 450 m south of the apartment. A park with Herrsching's little castle and tennis courts is 300 m in the other direction. The cultural metropolis Munich is easily accessible with the S8 commuter train or by car in about the same time. The ski resort in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Germany's highest mountain, the Zugspitze in the Bavarian Alps can be reached within about an hour.

My husband and I were looking for a place to spend a week working remotely that was in the countryside but still accessible to Munich. This apartment was well suited for that as it had an excellent desk. The location is absolutely perfect - right on the lake with a gorgeous view. We ate most of our meals on the balcony and it was set up perfectly with umbrellas and beautiful flowers. Everything you could want is in walking distance, from restaurants, grocery stores, and an incredible bakery. We enjoyed swimming in the lake and went SUP. The apartment is extremely spacious, although we did not use the upstairs much. The bathroom is large and very well equipped. I especially appreciated the little touches like the dividers in the drawer in the bathroom so you could really unpack. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need. Stephan met us when we arrived and took the time to explain everything we needed to know. He created the most informative book of any vacation rental I have ever stayed it and it was very useful. I highly recommend the hike to Andechs brewery and taking the boat from Herrsching to Dießen. There so many things to do in the area - plus you can hop on the train to Munich. We loved staying here and hope to come back.

Nach einem sehr freundlichen Empfang, haben wir hier einen schönen und erholsamen Kurzurlaub verbracht. Trotz der wunderbar zentralen Lage - das Auto wurde während der Tage nie benötigt - ist die Wohnung sehr ruhig und der Ausblick ist wirklich einmalig.

Absolutely 5 star experience, great apartment and location
We stayed for over a month at Summerstrasse. The location right on the lake in Herrsching is a joy compared to being in the centre of Munich, yet easily and quickly accessed via the S8 S-Bahn a few minutes away. The apartment itself is extremely well equipped with high quality appliances, good TV service (though limited English language services). Excellent high speed internet, comfortable beds and very nice fittings make the apartment a real home from home, with great sunset views from balcony over the lake. The listing is absolutley accurate - not always to be assumed with online bookings! I also have to note that Stephan is a joy as owner, being very helpful and walked through on arrival and followed up subsequently. Highly recommended.

Würden immer wieder nach Herrsching reisen!
Wir wurden am Anreisetag freundlich vom Wohnungseigentümer empfangen und er hat uns mit einer Führung durch die Wohnung mit der Technik und Besonderheiten vertraut gemacht.
Das Objekt ist in einem Top-Zustand übergeben worden und wir sind keineswegs von der Beschreibung und den Fotos enttäuscht worden.
Nicht nur der Blick auf den See, sondern das Objekt an sich hat seinen Reiz mit seiner außergewöhnlichen Galerie und der schönen, hellen Holzdeckenkonstruktion.
Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet!!
Eine schöne Ferienwohnung ist für uns schon ein großer Teil eines gelungenen Urlaubs!

Traumhafte Wohnung in direkter Seelage
Die Lage der Wohnung ist fantastisch, direkt am See und alle Geschäfte in unmittelbarer Fußnähe. Die Ferienwohnung selber ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man sich wünscht. Sehr wertvolle Tipps für Unternehmungen bekamen wir schon nach der Buchung.
In Corona Zeiten muss man allerdings sehr frühzeitig Tickets (z.B. für Schlösserbesichtigungen) buchen, was wir schlicht weg nicht bedacht hatten.
Wir können die Ferienwohnung uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Great Location in Ammersee
We enjoyed our stay. Stephan was there to meet us and showed us around and how everything works. It's a big place and he was very thorough. He made great suggestions about the area, what to do and how to get around. Stephan was very thoughtful and checked in with us during our stay to make sure everything was going okay. By far, this has been our best VRBO. Communication was wonderful and the property is accurately reflected in the pictures. Thank you for a wonderful and safe place to stay.

Fantastic property
This beautiful well maintained two bedroom apartment is perfectly located in the best location in Herrsching overlooking the lake with the promenade right outside your front door. From the minute we booked this apartment for two couples, the owner was incredibly prompt and thoughtful with the communication. He accommodated our arrival, welcomed us warmly, and provided us with very useful and complete information regarding our stay. (This was truly exceptional service!) The apartment itself is very well appointed and worked very well for two couples as it has two bedrooms and one and a half baths. The pictures and the listing are completely accurate so you know exactly what you will be getting during your stay. It is very comfortable and nicely decorated with many conveniences. The apartment is perfectly located close to local shops and restaurants as well as the train station into Munich so you really could do without a car if you wanted to. We did have a vehicle and had access to an outdoor or underground parking stall which we used. The modern kitchen is well equipped with all the equipment and tools you will need for making casual meals. We tended to eat breakfast in and then have supper at one of the recommended restaurants in the area. The location of the apartment was very convenient for going to Neuschwanstein, Dachau, Andech's Abbey, Mittenwald, Garmisch-Partenkinkirschen, Munich, Starnberg, and many other sites in the Bavarian region. We did take the train into Marienplatz in Munich (as suggested by the owner) and the train was easy to take and took away any of the hassles of parking in a busy city centre. But just enjoying the pleasures of walking the promenade and having a beverage at one of the various outdoor establishments overlooking the lake might be our favourite memory. Overall, we have stayed at a number of HomeAway or VRBO properties in Europe, Canada, and the United States, and I can honestly say that the property and the service provided by the owner is right at the top. A week is really not enough in this part of the world - and at this beautiful property -- so plan accordingly.

Beautiful Apartment!!
Wow...what a wonderful place. We had a fabulous time at this tranquil lakeside apartment. My wife and I have stayed at several places and we have to say that by far this is one of the best! The decor, the linens, the dishes, the amenities, everything was very well thought out. We've already purchased a DeLonghi Nespresso machine like we had at the apartment because we loved it so much! Stephen was a wonderful host and met us at the apartment upon our arrival to go through operations. He was available via email and responded quickly to answer any questions we had. The location was perfect with restaurants, grocery stores, deli's, shops, beer gardens, boat rentals, bicycle rentals, the ferry, and train station, all within a 5 minute walk. Had wonderful meals at Steg 32, Seehof Biergarten, Ristorante Seespitz Da Mario and ordered pizza to go from Restaurant Promenade Herrsching to eat on the bulkhead and watch the sunset. It's a great central location to take day trips to Munich City Center, Neuschwanstein Castle, Andechs Monastery Brewery etc. You can swim in the lake, go for a stroll on the boardwalk or just sit on the deck and take it all in! Spectacular vacation. Thank you Stephan for sharing your slice of paradise!

Top Class Holiday Apartment on Ammersee
Simply faultless! A warm welcome to a wonderful modern apartment right on the Ammersee with mezzanine, extremely tastefully fitted out with modern decor and quality fittings. We had an awesome time, the beds & linen are so comfortable - I really recommend this apartment. Stephan speaks English fluently should you need assistance and is very quick to respond. Restaurants, supermarkets etc are all handy and Munich Hauptbahnhof is a short commute.

Wunderschöne Wohnung am See!!!
Die Ausstattung ist sehr exklusiv, sowie auf den Bildern zu sehen. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und dennoch umgeben von guten Restaurants. Stephan und seine Frau haben mich herzlich empfangen und alles in der Wohnung erklärt. Gleich am selben Abend meiner Ankunft haben sie sich erkündigt, ob alles ok sei oder ob was fehlen würde. Ich empfehle diese Wohnung zu jedem, der in einer exklusiven Atmosphäre ausspannen möchte. Ich selbst würde später wieder kommen. Herzlichen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft!
