Located in Canyon Lake, this attractive house for $987 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. W.O.R.D Permit- L1350 You found it! The Happy Owl Lakehouse, built in 2019, has been lovingly designed to provide guests with an unforgettable experience of beauty, comfort, and joy. Relax in modern peaceful style in this newly-constructed oasis on the banks of Canyon Lake, located midway between San Antonio and Austin in the lush Texas Hill Country. Whether you're wanting peace and quiet, a fun-filled get-away to bond with friends and family, a taste of "Lake Life", or adventurous day trips packed with boating, tubing, cave exploring, safari tours, ziplining, Schlitterbahn, Six Flags, antiquing, dancing to live music, or much more, the Happy Owl makes for an excellent central base of operations. The Happy Owl Lakehouse, with its high ceilings and huge windows, is located on the south shore of Canyon Lake, with beautiful sunset views from spacious waterfront decks and balconies with plenty of seating, lounge chairs, and tables for outdoor dining. Enjoy direct and private access to the lake, the propane BBQ grill, a hot tub for 6, an outdoor shower, indoor/outdoor sound system that connects to your device via Bluetooth, three large flat-screen "smart" televisions with 100 cable channels, WiFi internet, and brand new appliances throughout, including full sized washer/dryer, and the amenities of a modern kitchen. Two downstairs bedrooms each have a king-sized bed, black-out blinds, and a private full bathroom, one with a walk-in shower and one with a bath tub. A separate half-bath also accommodates guests on the first floor. The second floor offers a large bedroom with two queen-sized beds, a loft area containing a day bed and trundle bed (two twins), a "kids zone" with toys, games, and puzzles, another full bathroom with a large walk-in shower, and a balcony that runs the full width of the house, overlooking the lower deck and lake. The Happy Owl is ready for the making of your extraordinary memories year round! **The Happy Owl Lakehouse is located in a residential area and can experience construction sounds. Currently there is a house under construction next door whose schedule is not in our control, so if this would cause a disruption to your enjoyment of the house it is something to keep in mind. ***Please note - security cameras are in use at the entrance to the property*** **The health and safety of our guests is paramount. Cleanliness is always our top priority. We offer a 24-hour guest service contact number for emergencies and messages will be answered promptly. Arrive after four o’clock when it is convenient for you with an easy and contactless check-in and out process for our guests. Please note – Rates are based on the number of guests entered in the reservation quote – any additional guests may incur additional charges. We had a lovely time staying at the property. It’s a beautiful home and a great place to spend a weekend with friends and family. We enjoyed the lake activities and also having a fun time grilling and watching sunsets. Highly recommend it!

The house was exactly what we were looking for to celebrate a 30th birthday! Plenty of room for everyone and great patio. We were able to enjoy being outside and not feel crowded anywhere in the house. Definitely recommend staying here!

Spectacular View
I’ve stayed at many different rentals. This one by far was one of the nicest. It was beautifully decorated and accommodated our family of eleven very well. The view of the lake was spectacular. The amenities provided by the owner we’re better than expected. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you Happy Owl Lakehouse.

The property was as advertised. The pictures don't do the view justice. The pictures make the view look good but it's even better in person. We had eleven people in the house comfortably and used the kayak, floats and floating mat to hang out at the lake. The location is convenient to hiking the guadalupe river trail and going to concerts at the Whitewater Ampitheatre. We will likely be back in the future.

And the house has SO much bright natural sunlight it’s Beatiful. And can’t say enough about the Beatiful view of the lake and sky! Also the kitchen had so much stuff available from every cooking pot you would ever need to ziplock bags and spices, it was super helpful!

Loved our stay in this gorgeous home!!! The space was well thought out and loved the lake access. So wonderful to have the hot tub right there too. The sunsets are spectacular. Highly recommended!

The home was beautiful and perfectly positioned on the lake for easy access. Our only complaint would be that the cleaning lady was not finished in time for us to arrive at 4pm. Everything else was wonderful. Once suggestion would be to have locks on the bedroom doors, not just the bathroom doors.

Great house and location on the lake. Well stocked and equipped for renters. My wife and I went with our 3 children (ages 14, 2, & infant) for an extended weekend trip. We had a great time. Views are amazing. The outdoor areas are what made this place. Lots of outdoor relaxing areas with picture perfect views. Saw lots of wildlife.
Driving through the neighborhood before we arrived to the house we were thinking to ourselves what did we do; but when we arrived at the house we felt instant relieved from those doubts. The surrounding area is mostly older houses and camp-like sites. But, that doesn't take away from the property at all. I'd recommend a baby gate if you have small children for the interior staircase. We couldn't find at local stores so we managed without. Only recommendation I'd make.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Exactly as advertised! Looked like new stepping stones had been added to the path down to the lake which make it much easier to get down to the shore. The teens enjoyed doing a little kayaking in the cove. Looking forward to coming back in the summer!

Also, if you have small children, consider bringing safety gates for the stairs, which are very high and steep and wooden.All in all, a very nice, albeit pricey, place to stay.

High-end Getaway Spot
Terrific experience on many levels. On the exterior, the view and water access was outstanding. Plenty of water toys and entertainment items for all ages. A decent sized and grassy front yard too. The interior is VERY tastefully done with lots of amenities that I would not normally expect (e.g., charging hubs, multi-zone stereo system, etc.). It was hard to leave. Highly recommend.
