A very well run establishment. The staff were friendly and efficient, The room was clean and tidy. The dinner and breakfast were very good.

The best evening meal in ages - the chef is exceptional
Booking.com booking 2 rooms for us for the same night- NOT what we requested- and the difficulty in contacting them to effect the cancellation of one of them - being sent onto a site that charged 30€ + for an unsolicited service to help fill in a non existent form -
whole thing involved my bank stopping this payment and cancelling my card - this fiasco caused me a great deal of stress, and spoiled my visit- this was not the fault of the hotel, but I shall be v wary of using Booking.Com in the future

The chap who signed us in on receiption was very nice. It was easy to find.
There was no bar area, we reserved a table in the resturant but it was very rushed and the ambience was like a motoway service stataion. It was totally full but i beleive it was the only resurant in the town. The room was extremely hot with no aircon (even in April) the furniture was a mishmass of things. The noise from the street below prevented us from sleeping so we left at 4am to continue wth our journey (4 hours earlier than planned). Leaving the carpark was difficult as the gates had been locked,it took us 20 minutes and a lot of strenght to find a way to open them. There is no-one on reception after the early evening and the phones go to an answer machine which didnt help.
