Sicily was sweltering hot in the summer so I was delighted my AC and shower both worked very well. The young lady taking care of Avolio was very professional and offered the best service. The breakfast menu was limited but high quality and well prepared and served. It was pleasant to take the breakfast on the rooftop. It is very centrally located near il Duomo in Ortigia. However Avolio itself is not easily located behind some restaurants in a courtyard and through a tunnel. Also, there is no bell so checking in late at night was challenging. It would have been nice if there were a pantry in the common area stocked with some flatware and plates but the young lady who runs the operation accommodated me upon request. Those were my only real complaints throughout a very pleasant stay.

Fantastic location right in the middle of Ortigia, you couldn’t ask for better! The staff were unbelievably welcoming and accommodating and breakfast on the terrace was lovely, would highly recommend.

We loved it!!

I want to thank Bianca in being patient and helped me out to have a late check in and even helped when I left the keys inside the room :p The rooms are really well setup with all the amenities inside. The location is great and is next to a lot of restaurants and bars. The breakfast is amazing thanks to Amy. You have to try the Sicilian omelette.

The location was excellent and the room was comfortable. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was wonderful. Remy - the staff - was very friendly and helpful.
