I stayed at this accommodation during my Camino de Santiago. It is located directly on the Camino, just a five-minute taxi ride from the small town of O Pedrouzo. The hotel is a typical Galician house that was recently renovated, situated on a massive property that has been preserved within the same family for 300 years. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the manager. We had paid for breakfast, so we found a basket filled with fresh fruit, bread, cheese, juice, and coffee waiting in our room. Both the room and the bathroom were comfortable, clean, and beautifully updated. The property features an outdoor sink where guests can wash their clothes. While I was washing mine, I met the owner, Maria. She shared the fascinating history of the estate and took the time to show me around the land. She even harvested fresh figs and peaches for me to try. It was a truly great experience.
I loved everything about this place.

Beautiful property with newly furnished rooms. It is close to some restaurants.
Make sure to ask for breakfast- it isn’t automatic with booking.

Apart from very comfortable rooms.I didn't enjoy this hotel very much. The room was spotlessly clean
The hotel lacked atmosphere. Was quiet a distance from restaurants and local town of Ponderoza.I had to use taxies to access any type of amenity. I also stayed downstairs in room 2 and could hear lots of movement from upstairs.
As there was no staff present after check in, I felt very isolated

The facility was very charming, especially the backyard area. We spent hours sitting outside enjoying the fresh clean air, it was a wonderful peaceful place to unwind after a day on the Camino. Also the woman at check in was very kind.
There are a few areas that I feel are holding this property back from being a better stay:
1. The beds were so uncomfortable. This might be personal preference, but the mattress was hard and springy and the pillows were flat. We had a hard time falling asleep.
2. The breakfast did not meet our expectations. It would have been better to have more ripe fruit (the banana was inedible) or some local baked goods
3. The hotel advertises laundry but it is really just a laundry sink the neighbor lets hotel guests use. It worked out okay, but we saved our laundry until we got to this hotel because they advertised laundry facilities and we were disappointed to realize that is not the case.
