The Linhay is a hidden gem! Beautiful surroundings, beautiful property, comfortable and quiet environment. Hosts were very welcoming. We are already considering a return trip for longer next time!

Nothing - this was exactly what we love in a holiday property.

The location of the barn was absolutely perfect. A very quiet location, right in the deep, peaceful, stunning Devonshire countryside. Although at first we found it a little hard to find as the sat nav took is to the back of the farm, once we found it, it was a beautiful haven. We were surrounded by horses, sheep, geese and saw rabbits, a fox and deer. The barn itself was very stylish, cosy, warm, very comfortable and modern, but still retains plenty of original features such as exposed brick work and beams. The accommodation has excellent facilities including towels, an iron, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, cooking facilities and plenty of pots and pans and everything we needed for cooking at the house. The whole barn was spotlessly clean. The bedroom particularly was lovely as it was so nice laying in bed with views of the stunning rose court garden and the fields with sheep in. The garden itself was beautiful with lots of beautiful colourful roses in bloom and a water feature, which was trickling with water and so nice to hear. This barn was exactly as I had hoped, open the front door and we were right in the middle of the countryside.

Our phones didn’t have great reception, but that’s to be expected in the county. The WiFi connection was greatly appreciated and a great facility to have. The WiFi was not a partially strong connection however and kept dropping out.

Very peaceful, everything you could hope for to refuel your body and soul. Location ideal for excursions around Devon. Pauline was very helpful and friendly so where her farm animals. Would love to return.

We had issues with the WiFi and door lock but understand this is now being resolved.

Beautiful local on a small farm, quiet and tranquil. The converted barn has been excellently done and very clean and tidy with a nice outside area for breakfast in the sun. Owners live near by and are lovely people as are their dogs and sheep.

The setting was very beautiful and the converted cow barn was very well done. Very modern and cosy with everything you needed. We loved our stay.

Only that the bed, although comfy, was very bouncy- so not good if you’re a light sleeper with a heavy husband!

Very well presented place, plenty of room and very quirky (in a good way). The Kitchen facilities were excellent and had everything you need for the stay. Very praceful and very quiet, there is a Tesco superstore in Crediton to stock up on food/drink. We went to the Devon Dumpling which was a really nice place to eat. Overall the Linhay was a very nice place for a 5 day break. Star gazing was incredible as there was very little light pollution

Shower was faulty and temperature couldn't be changed and was always a little bit too hot, also no bath mat provided so floor was slippery after showering. The room was very cold in the night even with the heating on. The drive is very steep and very uneven with large stones, we struggled not to damage the underside of our car which was a normal car, 4x4/SUV definately recommended.

The location was superb as we wanted to explore all areas of Devon and Copplestone was ideal. The accommodation was tastefully decorated and excellently equipped. A very peaceful country setting and we were fortunate to have superb weather to enjoy it.

My only 2 comments are that the sofa wasn't particularly comfortable but we were out most of the time, not lounging around so it didn't matter. (Such things are all according to personal preferences anyway.) I was a little unhappy about the trackway to the property which was rather rough in places for an ordinary car, but no harm seems to have been done!
