This was a lovely place to stay while exploring the Gulf of Morbihan. Christelle was a very nice host, who had plenty of suggestions for things to do in the area. Le Clos du Gusquel is architecturally stunning (for UK readers think 'Grand Designs'). The grounds included a beautiful (and quite large) pool which was most welcome at the end of a hot day. The guest rooms and dining area/kitchen/lounge and terrace are in a separate area of the house, which we liked. Our room was very spacious and clean, with a lovely view over the pool and grounds. The area is peaceful and quiet. There is an excellent galette restaurant a short drive away, but on a couple of nights (after a long day) we were also able to prepare something simple in the guest area. Breakfast was excellent and tasty, as other guests have noted.
There is so much to do in this region. We enjoyed visiting Vannes - a beautiful city, hiking on Ile-d'Arz, biking around the standing stones in Carnac and visiting some wonderful small towns in the east - Rochefort-en-Terre, La Gacilly and Malestroit. On our way to Le Clos we also visited Pont-Aven, which was arty and beautiful. A wonderful few days!
Nothing - a very nice stay.
