About this cottage rental
Sand Dollar Beach Cottage is located on the beautiful island of Black Point in the Exuma Cays. The many islands of Exuma are home to a variety of popular attractions including the original Swimming Pigs. Sand Dollar Cottage is situated on a hill above the beach and has deck on both sides of the property giving guests a beautiful view of both the Atlantic Ocean, and the shallow Bahama Banks, when the tide goes out it is a beautiful Sandbar appears. This picturesque scene is perfect for taking beautiful photos. The rental home is within walking distance to all of the local activities, restaurants and stores whilst also giving visitors the perfect amount of seclusion they may require. There are two direct options of getting to Black Point with no hassle. You can fly into Nassau Bahamas then take Flamingo Air or Titan Air from Nassau direct to Black Point Exuma. Alternatively, you can fly Makers Air from Ft Lauderdale Florida into Staniel Cay Exuma. If you choose to fly into Staniel Cay however, there is a fee to transport you from Staniel Cay to the cottage. If you want to experience the various attractions of Exuma, you can do so by booking a private boat tour with us during your stay. Some of the sites seen on the tour include the world's famous Swimming Pigs, The Exuma Land & Sea Park, Swimming with the Nurse Sharks, Sandbars, The Thunderball Grotto, Iguanas, Rachel's Bubble Bath, and a variety of snorkeling sites. We also have boat rentals available with sizes ranging from 17ft Boston whalers to 23ft Contender. Golf cart rentals and bicycles can also be rented as a means to get around the island.

Wonderful place and even better hosts. Our AC went out and they put us up in another place for one night and had an entire brand new unit in one day. Also she cooked us wonderful conch fritters and the best carrot cake ever. If you want an off the beaten path true Bahamian experience this is a must do! So safe the people are wonderful. Don’t forget to visit Lorraine’s mom. For the most insane coconut bread ever and Lorraine’s cafe for amazing food. Rent a boat for the day and explore all the wonderful islands!

I almost hesitate to say how impressed we were with everything because I want to keep this gem for ourselves, but the hosts deserve the praise and the business. We honestly could not have been more impressed with the open communication and level of service from the hosts, the location and cleanliness of the cottage, and the amazing friendly and relaxed vibe of the entire cay. We will definitely be back!

The property and the owner were beyond amazing! They made for our best vacation experience ever. We paid for a boat tour and the guide (Keith) recommended by Ida (the cottage owner) made it the best tour we have ever been on. Worth every penny to stay here. We cant say enough good things about being here. We will come back for sure. We spent one whole day just sitting in the clear water of this property’s beach. Have never seen anything like it!
