Great little duplex, and from what I saw was the nicest areas of Austin. Very nice little private patio looking out to the creek. Enjoyed having coffee there in the morning. Very nicely taken care of home and great communication from the host.

Great location for a weekend visit to Austin. It was very easy to get to downtown Austin. The 2nd floor balcony in the master bedroom was a nice touch as was the complimentary bottle of wine. Would definitely stay there again.

The place was great, plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The three outdoor spaces were a nice addition. Location was great very quiet, a quick walk to Barton Springs, walkable to some restaurants (under a mile) and only about 1.5 miles to down town. We walked along the river to SOCO once and from downtown, once with no problems. We used uber which was a quick 5-10 minute ride downtown.
Beds were very comfortable as well as sofas in the living room., the kitchen and laundry was convenient and a plus. The small grocery store only 3-blocks away is convenient with larger stores within 2 miles. We had a good rain storm and got to watch the creek flow at full force right outside the outdoor patio.
Overall great place to stay, we would definitely stay there again of we go back to Austin.

Stayed here while visiting our Son in Austin. Great house. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to explore the city. Great location . We walked to many places, zilker, Barton Springs, restaurants..etc. beds were very comfortable. Great outdoor seating areas and fire pit. This property had everything we needed. We would return without hesitation.

The BEST location!
We really enjoyed our stay at this cute, little condo! The location is truly wonderful as it is so close to everything great around the Zilker park area. Also, the owner is seriously so wonderful to work with! Hands down the best renting experience I have encountered.

Quiet, clean, nice outdoor spaces
Quiet little cul-de-sac street with a tiny stream in the back. I would come home late and it was very safe, easy parking in the driveway. My only complaint is the A/C kept kicking on and making me wake up (sleeping in a strange place is hard). Nice to have 2 sinks and a separate bathroom & closet area. Outdoor seating areas were relaxing. Wish I had a chance to enjoy the wine Sally left!

Glorious property with plenty of room for 6 people. It's in a perfect location near Barton Springs and also near to everywhere else you would like to explore in Austin. Sally is a fantastic host and we would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic in every way
Ideal Location near all the fun outdoor activities including Barton springs, Zilker Park, Lady Bird Lake. And, near the great restaurants and bars, music...loved the coffee shop/bar on Barton Springs. It's easy to get to all the other hot spots in town too as it's centrally located and just a cheap ride on Fasten to Rainey street or SoCo. Place itself was so clean, beds super comfy, lots of towels, and Sally the host left a great bottle of wine for us. The interior was bright, clean and decorated in a tasteful way. Patios were nice too. Sally made everything so easy and even extended checkout when my flight was delayed. This place was 5 stars all they way. Thank you Sally...hope to be back someday soon!!!

My family and I had a great experience. The house was clean with nice little extras like comfy beds, super towels and coffee. The location is quiet and private, but so close to everything we wanted to do. We were visiting my daughter and will certainly look to book this property again for our next trip!

Everything you need right here
Great place in a great location. House has about everything you need for a comfortable stay. We stayed for 6 days while on vacation. As a family of four with two little kids (4 & almost 2) we were a little nervous being away from home. This house was perfect. Loved having two floors so husband and I could relax after kids went to bed. Wish we could have enjoyed the outdoor spaces more but we were busy seeing friends and visiting all the sights. Highly recommend and we would return.

Made for a great Holiday season
Really enjoyed our time at Zilker Retreat, great weather enabled us to fully explore Zilker Park and downtown Austin. Whether walking or biking, our location was central to a lot of activites. Very nice 2 bedroom duplex, a few minutes easy drive from downtown Austin. I stayed here for a family wedding with 2 of my siblings. There were two very comfortable bedrooms and a large living room with a pullout that was perfect. Wonderful outside patio area with a tabletop fire pit that made the evenings relaxed and cozy. Two other deck areas added to the ability to escape. Lovely green belt right out the back with a small creek and the sound of running water. Off in the distance, you cold hear a bit of traffic noise and train whistles when outside, or with the doors and windows open, although this was not noticeable when indoors. Everything was as described, easy check in with a bottle of wine waiting! Sally made it easy, and we had no need to contact her after arrival. Very relaxing, highly recommended.

As UT Austin alumni visiting town, it's great to be able to stay out of downtown (but not too far away). Home was just as advertised in the listing. We loved the quick walk over to the Lady Bird Lake running trail (which borders Zilker Park). Perfect for runners. Would recommend -- not going to find better 2 BRs in the area.

This is my second time staying in one of Sally's properties, and the only downside is that she has raised my expectations so high in terms of what a good HomeAway host should do. First, the property: impeccably clean and well appointed, with beautiful outdoor spaces to enjoy your coffee in the morning. It's in the PERFECT location off Barton Springs next to Zilker Park, making everything an easy ten minute drive away. It was perfect for the five of us who were in town for my sister's graduation.
Finally, Sally herself. You will not find a more caring and considerate host whose whole goal is to make your stay perfect. She was extremely responsive from start to finish and even brought over a gift and card for my sister!
You can bet we will be staying in Sally's properties in all of our future trips to Austin. She's half the reason we want to go back!

We have made many trips to Austin to visit our sons and have always stayed in hotels. Now we wonder why we never tried Home Away! Sally has a wonderful place - up-to-date amenities, great central location, clean - what more could we ask? We enjoyed being able to prepare a dinner for our sons and their friends with a nice, relaxing place to sit and visit.
