Don't forget to visit Scarface in the Tarpon Feeding area. Also at Robbie's they will cook your fresh catch at the Hungry Tarpon Restaurant. If you are in the mood for a nice stroll, Bentleys Restaurant is 5 minute drive and Morada Bay where you can enjoy a relaxed beach atmosphere. snorkeling or just sightseeing. Stayed here for 3 nights and it worked for what we needed since we weren’t at the house much. But after we checked in we found out that the dishwasher didn’t work and the right side of the sink was inoperable. Wasn’t the end of the world but the house could have been maintained better.

Great for a home base as you key hop

The house was clean, comfortable and roomy. Perfect size for what we needed, 6 adults and several friends who came over. Keys were in a lock box which was difficult to open and close. It was only 3.5 miles from Bud and Mary's marina. House is for sale.

Our family stayed here due to the proximity to the wedding venue. The rooms were clean. We enjoyed the back porch area the most. The location was convenient to marina and restaurants. We will rent again.

We had a lovely stay at casamar! The photos are accurate and we had everything we needed. The hosts were responsive and it was easy to find the key on check in. Our kind hosts were even able to extend our stay for two nights at the last minute! The kitchen has everything for basic cooking. Would certainly return.

Once inside! It was decent, except the gnats flying around garbage disposal. Beds were good, sheets clean, bathrooms clean, towels good, kitchen equipped except there was a dirty cookie sheet pan in oven & dirty utensils left by grill and no cleaner brush for grill. Another problem was a Bees nest under the Carport & Bees swarming around outside and a couple in kitchen. Maintenance had to remove hive but bees were still there our entire stay. Biggest problem was Entry! Eventually found out that Keypad lock was broken but it took 4 hours to get response from VRBO or JJ Rivera. Our 3:00 check-in time took until almost 7:00. The next day we had to leave door unlock all day just to be sure that we were able to get back in! Would we return? Probably not.

Water reservoir on coffee pot leaking water onto counter.
Fleas outside in the white rocks surrounding grounds.
Propane grill on property; 3 burner - only one burner worked, got second working somewhat, could not get third burner working at all.
Master bedroom sliding glass shower door hazard; came off track 3 times w/very little force.
Lazy Susan didn’t turn.
All kitchen drawers not on tracks; fall out if pulled out too far.
Given incorrect password for internet.
Rental accommodates up to 6 people, but not enough internet bandwidth to accommodate all devices for that many people.
Kayaks do not have seats.
Outside Cushions were already outside when we arrived. We brought them in at the end of our stay per request.
This location is good, but the property needs lots of TLC!

This is a good choice. It is a standard vacation home, typical house of the Florida Keys at a safe neighborhood and conveniently located at the middle of US-1 across the Keys (about 90 minutes to Key West and some 60-90 minutes to Key Largo). A great base for day trips across the islands.

Loved the breezes every morning on patio for coffee and evenings for sunsets enjoyed fire pit area n volleyball in sand w adult kids. Beds not bad. Rooms good size. We made great memories in this house on this trip. Idk if pics on post show entire house from outside but to note there’s a large staircase not everyone would be able to navigate. The pics in post of “welcome” buckets of toiletries or popcorn snacks and water are just advertisement FYI. we had a couple minor complaints about cleanliness that were fairly replied to by owners right away. We could’ve used face clothes, & hand towels - but we’re still very happy w the place. Owners have lots of tips on area beaches and kayak launches etx. One thing I didn’t expect; I hadn’t experienced before staying in different Keys in past, was lack of Sandy swimming beaches. There were not many nor nearby and ones we found were crowded. But we had a great get together. And enjoyed our time. Owners were responsive

Nice spot!
Things were good. The place was exactly as expected. If i could recommend anything, it would be nice to have a towel holder and toilet paper holder mounted in the bathroom

Very pleased!
Myself, my husband, my mother and 2 children (under 4) all loved this property. We were very happy with the cleanliness and setup of property. He property manager was very nice and helpful, alway quick to respond. We found everything we needed for our 4 night stay. The back deck was very nice to sit on. Everything seemed to be in proper working condition. House of course is not brand new but it’s well kept and has nice furnishings. The location was great and convenient for us. We have no complaints and hope to return again!!

Great accessible location in the Keys!
Great property in a great location. Some reviews mention road noise. It exists, but you won't notice if you're from an urban environment. House was clean and owners provided ample cleaning/sanitizing supplies. That made us feel very comfortable for a trip in 2020.
Love the location at about MM77. Close to everything, but out of the hustle and bustle.
Would definitely stay here again.

Great Getaway
Overall, our family of 5 was comfortable in the house and had a great time. Master bedroom and queen bedroom were spacious and clean. The deck is comfortable. The kitchen and common areas were adequate. Minor inconveniences were found (no wifi and clogged toilet upon arrival were solved quickly), twin beds are hard and noisy, no grilling tools were found in the kitchen, no microwave safe plates, and a/c does not cool house equally ( master bedroom and living room warmer than the rest of the house)

Second stay
This was our second stay at casamar. It’s clean and close to a lot of things we like in the keys. I even got to meet Jose when we checked in, after communicating with him a lot online it was nice to put a face to the name. Great guy. The property has been improved a lot since our first stay and our kids enjoyed the volleyball court.
When we arrived I noticed one of the new hanging chairs out back was damaged. Of course I wanted to let the owners know right away, hey we didn’t do this but wanted to let them know. We’ve stayed at vrbos all over and treat them like we own them with respect.
I got a response back, not from Jose, but accusing me of ironing on the bed the last stay and ruining the cover. I felt awful. We go to the keys to get away from having to iron things and wouldn’t iron on the bed if we did need to. I felt like my character was called into question and was very upset over this. Character counts to me.
We did run a plastic cup through the dishwasher before realizing it wasn’t dishwasher safe. I ordered a new set of cups on amazon to be delivered to the house because we damaged one. It’s how I think things should be done.

Great trip
The house was cute and in a great location. The back porch was a treat being on the top floor and secluded area. We kayaked and biked each day. There is a bike path right across the street that went on for miles in either direction. It was great going around 7:30pm - 9pm each night when the day was cooler. We will return.

We loved the big yard and the location was perfect! Definitely a worthy location for a family in a nice safe neighborhood. We were minutes from everything we love in Islamorada.

Short stay in islamorada
The owners of the property were fantastic! They were quick to respond to several questions I had and I really appreciated that. After driving all night it was great to have some flexibility with check in.
The property is clean and looks like it’s been through a recent renovation. The location was great in that we were close to places like Robbies and Bud N Mary’s.

New Years Stay
The house was nice and clean with plenty of room for 5. It would have been nice to know the associated pool is about 5 miles away. Some additional instructions for the TVs would help. If you’re trailering your boat there’s plenty of space and the ramp is about 50 yards away. Overall a nice house that’s near everything without being in the middle of all the action.

We enjoyed your home. It was clean and decorated nicely. We all have stayed in many VRBO homes. The were a few simple things that would have made our stay a 5. We had to purchase a coffee maker. There were only 3 coffee cups. No toaster. The dishwasher was stuck on the top shelf and didn’t appear to be working. There were no bathroom towel racks and the toilet paper roll was broke. A large kitchen trash can really is necessary when renting to 6 people. The outside light was not working. The VRBO homes I’ve stayed in always had bathroom soap, shampoo, body wash, etc. This makes a nice touch.
