Groners is a rather plush hostel in the centre of Leipzig, about 10 minutes walk from the Hauptbahnhof. Staff were good at check in and the ensuite dorm rooms were excellent, with seating area, lockers and large windows out onto the street.
The kitchen and lounge areas were excellent and there is a small terrace on the roof which is a great place to chill out. There is a laundry in the basement which is 8 euros for a wash and dry.
The only downside to the hostel is that your bed sheets are not included in the price, which is just weird as it’s compulsory to have them, so you get charged an extra 3.50 when you check in. Be some much simpler and honest to include it in the price at the time of booking.
That said, I’d definitely stay here again!

Amazing facilities, clean, close to Leipzig central station, very kind and accommodating staff. Beds were comfortable.
For my room specifically (and perhaps the case for some others), people staying in the neighboring room has to go through my room’s door before going through another door and accessing their room. Just a bit annoying, really.
