Nestled in Seven Devils, this charming cabin for $245 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Must be at least 25 years of age to book. Welcome to Fox Haven! Fox Haven is a three-level cabin with 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. It is located on Seven Devils in The Lakes, which is a charming cabin community only a little over a mile up Seven Devils, so easy to access during inclement weather. The Lakes is a family-friendly mountain neighborhood that has three lakes/ponds that guests can enjoy. Guests can fish, walk, hike, picnics on the large common lawns, etc. Also, a long walk or a short drive away (about a mile) is Otter Falls Trail, which is a hike to beautiful views and a waterfall, as well as Seven Devils Town Park, with basketball, tennis, pickleball, a playground, and a picnic area! Fox Haven is centrally located between Boone and Banner Elk, within 10 miles either way. Blowing Rock is only 12 miles away, and Valle Crucis is only 9 miles away. Sugar Mountain Ski Resort is a short 6-mile drive from Fox Haven and has a wonderful golf course open during warmer weather months. Beech Mountain Ski Resort is about 14 miles away and also has activities outside of the ski season. Appalachian Ski Mountain and Tweetsie Railroad are both about 15 miles away. Grandfather Mountain is only a few miles away as well and has epic hiking trails, an animal sanctuary, the mile-high swinging bridge with stunning views, and more. Linville Falls and Linville Caverns are both approximately 20 miles away. Watauga Lake is about 30 miles away, but the Watauga River is very close to this cabin, only a few miles distant at its closest point. Skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, sledding, snow tubing, white water rafting, canoeing, kayaking, ziplines, hiking, walking, sightseeing, fishing, mountain biking, road cycling, golf, tennis, waterfalls, shopping, restaurants, and much more are all conveniently close by! This charming cabin is chock full of fun and interesting decor and character. Level gravel parking and a covered front porch with a level entry into the main floor make this a good cabin for anyone with mobility issues. The main level has a full bathroom with a tub and shower combo, and a king bedroom with a custom, live-edge headboard and an HDTV. The great room has wood floors and vaulted ceilings with exposed hand-hewn beams. The great room boasts a central stone, floor-to-ceiling, wood-burning fireplace with a live-edge log mantle beneath a huge HD Smart TV. Reclining leather furniture surrounds the fireplace and TV. The adjacent open dining area offers a one-of-a-kind, live-edge dining table that seats up to eight comfortably, with an antler chandelier above. The freshly-updated kitchen is well-stocked and has granite counters and soft-close, Shaker-style cabinets along with high-end stainless appliances. The main level rear deck features a custom outdoor grilling station and prep area with a stainless gas grill and flat top, granite counters, with a fridge and storage beneath. The outdoor dining table and chairs allow al fresco meals, and comfy outdoor lounging furniture makes this a great place to fellowship and enjoy the mountain breezes! Upstairs features a loft-style suite with vaulted ceilings. The sleeping area features a custom, king-size log bed and matching dresser with side tables, and an HD Smart TV. The full bathroom has a tub and shower combo. At the top of the stairs, adjacent to the sleeping area and bathroom, is a cozy sitting area with a comfy leather sofa. Downstairs offers a spacious game room and den with an eight-foot slate pool table, a rustic bar with bar stool seating, a leather sofa and loveseat, and a wall-mounted HD Smart TV that can be seen from all parts of the room. This space is loaded with fun memorabilia and unique decor and makes a one-of-a-kind fun zone for adults and children. The lower level also offers a queen bedroom with custom, cedar log furniture, a large HD Smart TV, and a full bathroom with a tub and shower combo. Walk out to the lower rear deck to the hot tub, and step down into a landscaped backyard that is fun and safe for children and pets to enjoy! Five HD Smart TVs offer digital cable and all of the Smart TV functions. WiFi internet, a washer and dryer, Heating and Air Conditioning by mini-split units on all 3 levels, a game room with a pool table, a hot tub, and community access to the lake and ponds make this a wonderful vacation destination! This home allows up to 2 pets weighing up to 25 pounds each. Standard pet fees apply. The property was clean and well maintained and the online listing was accurate. Quiet neighborhood that was easy to get to. Many activities a short drive away. The Otter Falls hiking trails were great. Saw many foxes and deer from the back porch. Highly recommended.

The house was as advertised. One thing not mentioned (unless I missed it) is that there is an outdoor firepit which was great to roast marshmallows. House was very clean and had everything we needed. Snow tubing at Hawks Nest opened up the weekend we were there and is only a 5 min drive from house which was great. Hot tub unfortunately we never used but it looked great and had all the features - lights, music etc. Thank you again for a wonderful memorable weekend.

As a family of 6 it's not easy to get away and have everything we need and this cabin was amazing for us to spend some quality time together. As a disabled veteran with a service dog it's never a problem to book a vacation but it does impact where we go for convenience purposes. This place had it all. Thank you for the experience and memories.

Convenient to everything and still rustic private feel. Loved the hot tub and pool table. The beds were cozy. Only thing I would add is hair dryer and maybe an additional set of towels per person. We had a fantastic time.

This was a beautiful rustic cabin. It was clean, had upgraded kitchen and appliances, and was on a perfect wooded lot. Plenty of room for the family and our dog. Great location and very close to Grandfather Mountain, Banner Elk, Boone, and Blowing Rock.
One reservation was that the property was listed as “lake access” which was not really the case. There are 2 small retention ponds about 1/2 mile from the property and that’s it. They really weren’t useable for anything.
Wonderful stay. Will definitely return.

Cozy Getaway

Great Stay!
The house was beautiful and the location was perfect. The only reason I gave it a 4 was because the cleaner left a trash bag behind and the back door to get out to the grill was not working. A butter knife was left on the chair by the door to I assume pry it open. Everything else was perfect!

We had a wonderful Christmas week and just got home today. Beautiful cabin and the listing is accurate. We did find that the floor might need a bit of sanding since one of us got a sliver of wood stuck on our foot but we put a carpet over the area. The play room has a slot machine that didn’t work the entire time even after maintenance came to try to fix it. The coffeemaker wasn’t working properly but we did get another one brought to us right away. The management company is very responsive. The rooms are cozy and the beds comfortable. The jacuzzi was great after a day of snow sports. We got the biggest Christmas Eve snow fall they’ve had in the area since 1985! Thanks for great memories!

The informative emails leading up to our check-in were extremely helpful -- giving us turn-by-turn directions, places to see and visit, and what to do upon check-out. Our cabin had a slot machine that needed to be reset. We sent a message about getting it fixed and maintenance came out quickly to fix it. It was a small thing, but our kids were looking forward to it. :) Communication throughout our stay was quick and helpful. There was even firewood and kindling available to us for the firepit.
Highly recommend this property for future stays...just not when we are looking to return. Dibs on that week! :)

Weekend getaway
Very nice cabin in a great little community of about 20 cabins. Very nicely designed and appointed to reflect a cabin environment! Only negative we had was the grill. It was very dirty and would take too long to clean so we had to use oven. Grill tools were very worn and unusable! We had a good stay!! Thanks

Fox haven stay
The cabin was very clean and well appointed. The air conditioning unit on the main level would no keep the bedroom cool. We were hot every night and did not sleep well. The main room was cool so the unit seemed to be working but under-sized.
The distance to fishing required longer drives than we were anticipating based on discussions with the rental company. The lake in 7 devils was mentioned as a good fishing location, but it was for members only.
Took a while to find out where to take garbage. Might be good to add that to cabin notebook.

All round great place
Seven Devils is a great location close to Boone and Banner Elk. The cabin is very nice including the decor. All the furniture, kitchen, bathrooms and finishing touches are very well done. There are three inside living areas which makes it easy to have groups with kids. We are not hot tub types but they have a very nice tub and its very clean. The back deck is great with all comforts. There is nothing missing from this place they have thought it out.

Very Disappointed
It's been a tradition for my family and I spend Super Bowl weekend at the mountains and unfortunately our rental did not live up to the expectations at all! To begin with as we came into the house it was obvious it was not clean and had an overwhelming amount of dog hair everywhere. We first encountered this on the sheets of our beds which seemed like they had not been washed and I had to wash them before I could even sleep in the bed. The throw pillows were full of hair as well. This place could use a deep cleaning. Then we encountered moldy coffee grounds still in the coffee machine...yuk...I would suggest to upgrade to a Keurig. Then to top it off we planned to use the grill and it seemed that the gas tank was almost empty to the pint that it took forever to cook anything on it. I understand you have a big problem of stink bugs but this place was infested. This was the first time we have had this issue at any of the houses we rented?? This is like the 4th year and around the same time so not sure if it's just that area or the house needs to be fumigated. It was not very so disturbing as you are sitting down to eat and these bugs are flying around and could land on your food at any minute. Last but not least as we were headed out I had to call to find out what to do with our trash. Their was no clear instruction and no trash bins anywhere. I was asked to leave the trash there but this should really be more clear in check out instructions. I have pictures of all the issues and will forward.

The bedroom downstairs never got warm.
We loved the fireplace and the fact there was plenty of wood. We actually replaced starter and kindling as we burned it all the time and enjoyed that!!
Could not find anything about trash (no outside can) took off a bag of garbage ourselves.
Also nothing on check out time so we left early. If these small items could be addressed it would help the next renter. Overall a very pleasant experience. The rental company was awesome. Thank you.

Very nice cabin, loved
Very nice cabin, loved the layout, great cabin decor, great location unfortunately we visited during a time of construction going on in the community, so no peaceful porch sitting which was a bummer, but overall very nice.
