We really enjoyed our stay overall. The property is beautiful, the location is excellent, and the direct access to the sea was one of the best parts of the stay. It is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
The biggest issue was the ants. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen so many ants in one place. They were in the kitchen, in the shower, and gathering in different areas both inside and outside the house. It was basically impossible to leave any food anywhere except in the fridge.
There was also no cleaning during our stay, and no proper cleaning supplies were provided for us to clean the house ourselves. For a longer stay, this becomes quite inconvenient as the house naturally gets dirty over time.
We also ran out of toilet paper and no extra rolls were provided, so we had to ask for more.
Communication through Booking was also frustrating. The messages seemed to be handled by a bot, and although the messages referred to check-in details, we never actually received them. It was very difficult to get any useful information through Booking because we kept receiving automated replies. However, when we called the contact number directly, the person who answered was very helpful and responsive.

Σε τουριστική τοποθεσία ακριβώς πάνω από την θάλασσα. Είναι δύο διαμερίσματα. Ένα μονοχωρο κ ένα Διχωρο. Είχε δίπλα καφετέριες για να προμηθευτεί κανείς οτιδήποτε από ποτά ή φαγώσιμα εάν το επιθυμεί. Όμορφος περιποιημένος χώρος μεγάλη αυλή και μπροστά στη θάλασσα κ πίσω με μπάρμπεκιου και η κουζίνα σχεδόν πλήρως εξοπλισμένη . Εμείς είχαμε δύο σκυλάκια μαζί μας καθώς πήγαμε με παρέα και είχε άπλετο χώρο να τρέξουν. Πολύ καλή επιλογή και για παιδιά. Είναι κλειστό από γύρω γύρω με ωραία τζαμαρία μπροστά που δεν κλείνει τη θέα κ δεν μπορεί να φύγει παιδί ή ζωάκι από κάπου εάν όλες πόρτες είναι κλειστες. Είχε πόρτα που κατέβαινες απευθείας από τον κήπο στην θάλασσα. Και η εξυπηρέτηση μια χαρά χωρίς πρόβλημα. Ανταποκρίθηκαν άμεσα σε όλα.
Προσωπικά (χωρίς αυτό να είναι πρόβλημα όλους είναι καθαρά υποκειμενικό) θα προτιμούσα λίγο λιγότερα φυτά. Για περισσότερο ελεύθερο χώρο και λίγο λιγότερα «πετούμενα». Είχε αρκετα κουνούπια οπότε πρέπει να πάει κάποιος προετοιμασμένος με αντικουνουπικα . Επίσης λόγω εποχής είχε και πολλά μυρμήγκια. Και αυτό που θα ήθελα να πω είναι πως το γκαζόν χρειάζονταν λίγο παραπάνω περιποίηση για να μην είναι τόσο ξερό. Ανεξαρτητως του καταλύματος η θάλασσα της περιοχής του Σταλου δεν είναι κ η καλύτερη όχι όμως πως δεν μπορείς να κολυμπήσεις.

The location was amazing. The property has access to a beautiful sandy beach. The Garden is designed very well. We spent most of the time in the Garden.
It was okay for us, and we didn't see anything negative, but there are two abandoned buildings near the house. But the hotel that we booked in Crete before this reservation had the same. It looks like these abundant buildings are common in Crete.

I loved that it was right on the beach and felt secluded even though restaurants, shops, paddle board rental and cafes are within walking distance. The house has all the basic amenities to cook and feel at home. The view, outside courtyard and eating area and price point are great for budget travelers who still want a private beach experience.
It was a little tricky figuring out some of the property details- how to work the air conditioning, WiFi, keys etc. However, Alexander our host was very reachable and helpful with questions.
