The property manager and handyman were sweet and accommodated our *very* late arrival, even coming to rescue us when we got a bit lost driving there and calling the local taverna to make sure they stayed open late enough for us to go pick up dinner the first night. The villa is almost brand-new and everything is in mint condition.
The hosts had plenty of extra bed linens and towels available, plus a little snack for the children to have breakfast the first day.
It's a beautiful area and the folks in town are very nice. English is widespread as a second language. Frequently, when we found someone who did not speak English as a second language, they could speak German as a second language.
Booking shows the property located in Mirtos, but it's actually in Kastri. (To be fair, we liked Kastri, but had made some plans based on Mirtos which had to be modified due to the change in location.) Kastri is a 40-minute drive through twisty mountain roads to get to Mirtos. The villa itself is up a *very* steep hill. This hill was steep enough that one of our cars was unable to actually make it all the way up to the villa and had to park down one level.

The villa is beautiful, even more, beautiful than in the photos. It has large balconies with incredible sea views. It was clean and equipped with all the necessary equipment. The host was extremely helpful, she assisted us in every way during our stay. We are longing to go back.
There is nothing to complain about. For older people, it could be a problem to walk up to the villa through a steep driveway, but this is the price you pay for the wonderful view. It was no problem for us.

+I think this is nicest located villa for rent in the village
+short distance to the beach
+ Kastri is a small village with several restaurants so it is not very crowded
+ house very clean
+ nice view - this is the most top villa out of 5
+ good A/C
+ parking lot for 3 cars
+ nice welcome pack - fruits snacks drinks and wine
- drive in to the villa is very step. Must be very carefull when driving. Walking for elder people could be difficult
- wifi is poor in upper level but you can reconnect to public wifi. Still - villas private wifi is quite fast mainly in lower floor
- nearby hotel guest can be annoying as when taking shower after swimming they can watch your terrace and bedrooms. Would be good to put kind of curtain made of plants. They cannot watch you on upper floor however so it is not very annoying.
